Nobody is always 100% right but I will go with his opinions over others! The guys on 3 Yards Per Carry hate the pick as well!Big fan of Crabbs, but he’ll be the first guy to tell you he isn’t always right.

Wrong!!! Punters get the glory but really it is a long snappers that matters most. Punters can't punt if the ball is flying over their head!!!I really wanted a punter. Grier messed up not taking one we should fire him.
I think that's what you should do at the top of the draft-- swing for the fences. I've never been a huge fan of 'safe' picks. Those guys usually have less upside and the reason they are 'safe' is because they are so-well coached, that they have little room for improvement.Grier is rolling a lot of dice this year. Both these guys have a lot of athleticism tho.

I was referring to actual players. So we can see how it plays out. Just for fun of courseahh easy. i will stick with the first pick only because it is simpler.
i would have taken one of the CBs or WRs. not psyched about drafting at those positions either, but i think there were several CB and WR prospects available at #21 who were better prospects than Chop at edge, frankly by a fair bit too. ready to play and contribute now as well, also lower risk because they produced in college in addition to having the measurables.
i think if i remember correctly we could have had the first CB off the board - ergo the best CB in the draft, at 21. the eagles, who are very good drafters, took a CB at 22
I like Simon Clancy on there.I have mixed opinions on 3YPC.
I agree with Crabbs.Kyle Crabbs hates the pick and that's who I trust the most! He also wasn't crazy about the Chop pick either!
I wanted them to draft Barton at that point.I agree with Crabbs.
I like Chop the player and his upside. I was just hoping they'd do something different when some players started to fall...mainly Fautanu tradeup or a Barton/Mitchell/Arnold. Chop is raw and a part-time player with JP and Chubb, so unless one guy isn't returning, the ROI on him vs a stud CB or OL starter Day 1 in win now mode seemed odd. Even next year if Chubb and JP return to form, he's a limited snaps guy. Premium position but likely not premium snap count and more long-term projection.
Chop has a lot to like.....and a lot of risk. Right now he's a one-trick pony rusher, although better against the run than most give credit.
well we can agree to disagree. you seem to put more value on measurables than i do. i lean toward production in addition to the measurables, especially in the first two rounds. i think grier is more in your camp. remember iggy and channing tindall, for example, had all the measurables too. i think this year it was especially important to have guys ready to contribute now. repeating my answer to another question, just as an example, with our first pick, i would have taken one of the CBs or WRs. not psyched about drafting at those positions either as opposed to OL there, but i think there were several CB and WR prospects available at #21 who were better prospects than Chop at edge, frankly by a fair bit too. ready to play and contribute now as well, also lower risk because they produced in college in addition to having the measurables. i think if i remember correctly we could have had the first CB off the board - ergo the best CB in the draft, at 21. the eagles, who are very good drafters, took a CB at 22. anyway we will see how it all turns out. even though i do not like the picks, they have now been made, and i want them to work.Chop is going to have to play right away. Phillips and Chubb aren’t going to be a 100% for awhile (and Chubb won’t be here much longer).
Paul will likely be playing at the end of the season when TA is hurt and we are lucky we have him going into the playoffs.
What more did you want?
I wanted a trade up for Fautanu in the worst way. I was hoping Pittsburgh would take Barton when Miami held at 21.I wanted them to draft Barton at that point.
