#Dolphins fewest takeaways in a season: 19 in 2010. This year: 12 in 14 games

for comparisons sake Charles Tillman for the Bears has
10 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions with 2 touch downs

If only our defense had a few playmakers

Clemons needs to be replaced with a badass ball hawking FS. 1 takeaway in 7 games is just unheard of.

wanna help the offensive how bout create some dam turnovers huh..

Turnovers are about dynamic playmakers. We have a major lack of them on both offense and defense. Still. After all these years. We have a roster of lunch pail guys. Foundation guys.

Well what do you expect when Fireland looks for meat balls as players?

Name 1 playmaker on this roster. thats what I thought.

The Dolphins are tied for 5th in the league with 39 sacks. We have forced 16 fumbles but only recovered 5 .... WTF

That's disgusting. Takeaways needs to be a major focus during training camp next year. Any extra possessions given to our offense would be a huge help in getting our scores up.

We definitely have been unlucky with not being able to recover some of these fumbles but that is an awful number. Another elite pass rusher, 2 CBs and a young LB in this draft while moving Richard Marshall to FS. People who are saying we need "offense, offense, offense" really need to look at that stat and realize the lack of playmakers on defense.

Not acceptable. Everyone wants to blame the rookie QB, bad play calling or the kicker. Mix in a dozen or more created turnovers and this team is in the playoffs.

The D is the best part of this team, but their lack of takeaways is brutal.

They mentioned a few stats during the Jax game:

1) Tied for fewest turnovers in a 6 game stretch in the history of the league
2) Miami WRs have the fewest TDs in the league

Clearly both offense and defense is in desperate need of a few playmakers

I think they need to make each defensive starter carry a football around for the whole week.

Get them aquanted with what a football is and feels like.

We had our chances early in the year and dropped several. Since then lady luck has turned a blind eye on us.

Pressure on the qb physically and mentally causes turnovers..If your not fearful of the other team going down and scoring points why would you force a ball into coverage?

Thats why the Pats last year were so great at creating turnovers....They put up a **** ton of points...they attacked...

The Saints were similar the year they won the super bowl...

Playmakers on d would help as well but scoring points is huge in creating turnovers IMO.

No real speed out there on D. We have a bunch of solid players and no superstars.
