16 teams for EPL?

This is what FIFA is considering, I think it is a bad idea. If a team is in the Champions League, then they have the depth to gives guys a rest. When a team isn't playing European soccer, then they aren't playing that many games a year. This is a stupid idea in my mind.

I think it is a good idea. It will amke international matches and cups more special like Copa America.

This has nothing to do with things like Euro 2004 or Copa America (since Euro 2004 is the Copa America of Europe).

It won't make European matches more special because you will still get the same amount of teams making the Champions League and UEFA Cup. All this would do is have teams in the EPL play less matches because there will be less teams, and since more than half of the EPL doesn't play in European competition, this is stupid. If you are going to play in European competition, then you need the depth to get in, or probably already have the depth because you were good enough to get in. And for the teams that don't have the depth, getting into European competition gives you a lot more money and you can use that money on buying depth. Overall, this idea sucks and will not happen.

Well this is also has to do with the death of Marc-Vivien Foe. They want to cut down on matches so they can get more rest.

Hmmm...well, there was a month in between the end of the EPL season and the Confed Cup. A better way to avoid deaths like that is not having dumb tournaments like the Confederations Cup.

No one is going to die playing EPL games since it is never hot in England.

Foe's death was probably caused due to the heat in the game, not because of the EPL season. If anything, they should not have 1 day in between games in Confed Cup games. They could make the tournament a week longer and have more rest in between games.

Foe's death was actually a heart attack not because of heat. International soccer was better then Club soccer until a couple of years ago, now barely anyone really cares about the WC since they care about the money which is in club teams.
