Updated 4/19 8:00pm After sleeping on it last night and watching a little more film on some guys (and checking out Jameson Konz thanks to DK, although every other site has him as a 7th round grade), I decided to change things up a bit.

Obviously, there is nothing certain when it comes to the draft. Any player can have grades that vary 1-2 rounds per team, so i know some of these guys like Sapp, Gibson or Gerhart may not be where i have them. The first is with no trades, as it stands now. The 2nd is with a trade with the Eagles....we swap 1st round picks and pick up a 2nd and 4th from Philly (the trade points worked out best with those 2 picks). Alright, criticize away!!

1 – Earl Thomas FS Texas
3 – Ricky Sapp OLB Clemson/Thaddeus Gibson OLB OSU
4 – Kevin Thomas CB USC
5 – Daniel Te'o-Nesheim OLB Washington
6 – Fendi Onobun TE Houston
6 – Levi Horn – OT/G Montana
6 – Aleric Mullins NT UNC
7 – Tim Knicky OLB Stephen F. Austin/Danny Batten OLB South Dakota State
7 – Jameson Konz FB/HB/LB Kent State
7 – Alex Henderson RB Northern Arizona

Would LOVE this draft
1 (24) swap with Eagles – Jerry Hughes OLB TCU
2 (55) from Eagles – Morgan Burnett S GT
3 – Toby Gerhart RB Stanford
4 (105) from Eagles – D’Anthony Smith DT Lousiana Tech
4 – Kevin Thomas CB USC
5 – Garrett Graham TE Wisconsin
6 – Antonio Brown WR/KR Central Michigan
6 – Levi Horn – OT/G Montana
6 – Chris McCoy OLB Middle Tennessee
7 – Tim Knicky OLB Stephen F. Austin/Danny Batten OLB South Dakota State
7 – Jameson Konz FB/HB/LB Kent State
7 – Alex Henderson RB Northern Arizona

I tried being realistic with the late round choices. Some bigger names will fall and be better options, but at this point, it's way to tough to know.....and to throw a bunch of household names in a mock would be unrealistic.

second one by far the first one just does not fill in OLB and NT need...

I love the 1st two picks in you 2nd mock, after that, I lose interest.

Jerry Hughes is one of my favorite players in this draft, along with Odrick, Suh and Berry. Since Suh and Berry will be long gone, and Miami doesn't have a great need for another 3-4 DE with Langford, Merling, Starks, etc on the roster, i thought i'd go with Hughes. I think he's going to be the best pass rusher (along with Graham) in this draft....but i think Hughes has better natural ability to drop into coverage.

I heart the Montana flavor in both your draft options lol!! but no Marc Mariani?? the dude can handle kick offs and punt returns and a good wr as well

He's a good player, but i just don't see a roster spot for him. With Marshall, Hartline, Bess, Camarillo, and Turner as locks to make the team, i don't see Mariani being a strong enough player to make the squad.

I'm starting to doubt having Levi Horn on the list as well. I think our line is pretty well set and don't see much opportunity for linemen....but we sure could use more DBs.

If I had to choose one, I would pick the second. Although, I would make some changes:

I like the 1st four picks:
1. Jerry Hughes
2. Morgan Burnett
3. Torrell Troup
4.Aaron Hernandez
4b. I don't think the FO would pick up a 5'8" CB before they would take more along the front 7. My pick here would be to double up at the OLB position.
Pick: OBrien Schofield
5. With this pick, I am going with-Mr. Everything-a HB/WR/TE/LB pick: Jameson Konz
6. Not a fan of LaGarrette Blount. Don't like guys with character issues. If I was going to use this pick to get a RB, I would pick: James Starks
6b. Levi Horn is a good pick
6c. Do not think that Parcells and Co.are going to take a 5'11'' MLB that is limited athletically and is bad in pass coverage. I think he is more suited to a 4-3. I am going to double up on my FS and pick: Nick Polk
7. While this pick is not a terrible position to pick Knicky, there are some serious concerns about his ability to translate as a player at the pro level.
Going with a G/C: Jeff Byers
7b. A vastly underrated player: LB Dane Fletcher
7c. WR Shay Hodge

I'll have to agree with the Mariani part, but i wouldn't totally discount Levi Horn, he can play multiple positions and this team love Oline depth, i would be very interested to see Shan compete in our defensive backfield, he could be the Bell that actually stays healthy.

Both drafts are OK.

On the second one I don't see Hernandez falling that far and I don't think Basped is athletic enough to play OLB. He looks pretty stiff to me on film, pretty mechanical in his movement.

I'd rather have Pitta or Jimmy G from the U at TE.

Ozzy rules!!

I agree on Basped. I doubt he could be an OLB full-time, but if nothing else, he could get a shot over some of our other guys as a 3rd down specialist. His shuttle and 3-cone times do show his lack of change of direction which would make me think he couldn't play in space.
