Well I finally got around to making this video of 2002 Ricky Williams highlights..took me hours getting it from vhs to my pc...Although I wish the quality was better...it looked good on my pc before I uploaded it to youtube.
This was actually the first time I've ever used youtube.

Anyway it's a 5 part series of a lot of Ricky's 2002 runs and receptions...start with part 1...there all in the order of the games the Dolphins played in 2002 so you'll kinda get a feeling how the season went...I also have a probowl highlight video with Ricky and a bunch of Dolphins.

But Ricky was so amazing that year..in all my years watching football I never seen a RB dominate and take over a game like Ricky did that year...I've never seen a combination of massive speed, power and explosiveness..and his quick recognition of a hole and the quickness through it. And the amount of defenders he embarrassed..I've watched these videos many many times over the last 4 and a half years and I tell you the truth that there a defenders that actually pretend to be blocked in fear of being embarrassed on national tv and highlight reels...because Ricky always had a way of putting the hit on the defender...
You can tell by watching them how in the beginning he didn't have that much confidence in himself... but as each game passed he started to realize how awesome he really was and how he was like a man among boys....he kinda was like Neo in the matrix....the more he knew the truth the better he got....he started to realize how easily he could beat the defender to the corner...I swear I never seen a back with speed like that...he always seemed to make the DB's look like they were slow...
My favorite run was the one against KC when he ran over a DB in the hole than Ricky's heel hit the guy in the helmet as he was desperately trying to tackle him and then ran down the sideline and straightarmed this guy and lifted him straight off the ground.
Well here's the link..hope it works..

Jeez dude. I wish I had an hour free right now.

2002 was a special year for me. I always look back and remember how awesome it was for us watching Ricky that year. I think a lot of fans forget just how good he was that year. He and Priest Holmes were basically the battling for recognition as the league's top running back. Ricky didn't have the benefit of that OL. Or Trent Green's breakout season. But he still did it.

Also, big props for not ruining your videos with music. The live sound is always better. You can feel it.

awesome, been dreaming of 2002 highlights but I think it'll only be a matter of time before they get pulled due to the NFLs policies...

one thing we could always count on.. ricky has always given 100%+ when on the field...

hope he joins us this year.. as I think if he ends up with a division rival were going to regret it.

winning the rushing title behind a questionable line, with almost ZERO passing game...shows how special he was...

he's still a great back, but his size/power and speed combination was unreal

that said? now that i think about it, like ricky said recently "that wasn't football" in regards to how wanny overused him...it was ridiculous really....hindsight is 20/20

omg...part 2 has the denver game....when fiedler laid chambers out to dry.

that is still one of my favorite games of all time....yeah jay brought us back, but if i remember correctly he was a big reason we ended up behind.

The thing I remembered most was just how FAST Ricky was. I mean, he had that vision. But he had that top gear that not a lot of backs have. He was so explosive. And he got into that top gear very quickly.

And a lot of those bruising runs came in the 4th quarter, when the defense had had enough. Ricky was so tough and had tremendous endurance.

In addition to all those carries (383), Ricky also caught 47 passes in 2002. We only threw 452 times that year.

Last year, Dolphin running backs caught 60 passes combined (out of 590 attempts).

    Ricky was special.

Yeah....I am one of those guys that forgot how good he was. He was breaking tackles in our own backfield and still making positive yards, and that speed.....awsome.

Two years ago I felt very confident in saying that Ricky and LAdanian Tomlinson were both head and shoulders above the rest of the RB's in the league. Ricky and LAdanian are mere clones of each other if you ask me. Both are powerful RB's and very explosive with the vision every RB dreams of. The one difference between the two was emotionally.. One has it all together while the other has his mind all over the place.

Right now, I believe Ricky is probably above average as an RB now.. Saying that he's top 5 or top 10 would be wishful thinking.. IMO.

So after watching that who thinks we should cut Ricky and move on? I mean honestly even if he only regains half that form.

Just finished watching all of them.. Much appreciated for the videos. Thanks

Ricky was an absolute ANIMAL. He punished defenders for taking him down.

Hard to believe we missed the playoffs with RW playing so well. That old fart Anderson made a 53 fg as time expired in Minny to put the first nail in the coffin. Three straight incompletions at the end of the NE game when we could have run out the clock with Ricky having another monster day sealed it...

Ive watched only 3 min worth and noticed 1 thing, RB is MORE explosive not as big looking as RW n a lil quicker. only diff is that RW hits the hole as fast as possible once he gets the ball n half the time our G's are doing something n opening holes for RW compared to waht RB has to work with. and the studder step taht RB does RW doenst do which is correctable hopefully if not a habit.

Niiiiiccceee! That sure brought back alot of memories. Ricky is a stud, he's still the best running back on this team if we can only get him on the field I have a feeling he will be a beast with his flexibility from his Yoga, it should only make him better.

    Good work dude!

thanks for the great video. while watching the videos brought great joy, it also brought bad memories. oh well, we had it good back then. hopefully, Cam & RM realizes that having RB/RW combo will benefit the fins more than releasing RW or trading him to another team.

If Miami management doesn't bring back Ricky Williams, since he has never been arrested, and his last suspension had nothing to do with drugs, it will just make me realize this current management is STUPID .. And the dolphins will be screwed without a dominant 2 back attack with Ricky and Ronnie.

we went 10-6 and missed the playoffs i know...but we melted down the home stretch...we actually had a shot at homefield if we won our last 3 games or something..and we ended up losing all 3 and missing the playoffs completely.

the following year ricky ran for like 1500 yards, we went 9-7, and that was that.

oh snap.....wow...i was pretty sure on that

well ok then, but due to 3 teams in the afc east going 9-7 we were definitely in the hunt and then **** it all away.

that was the point of my original post.

Great job Bro! However, watching part 5 was brutal. Why did you have to include the great collapse of 2002. Just brutal! :( :boohoo: :fire:
