We knew Miami was headed to London in 2014, now we know when exactly. Dolphins are getting the early London game next season and will play the Raiders on September 28th, which is Week 4. This is considered a Raiders home game. Falcons and Lions will play on October 26th and the Jaguars and Cowboys will play on November 9th.

In addition to knowing when the London game is, you can now mark down Week 5(October 5th) as the Dolphins bye week in 2014. Teams playing in London are always given their bye week after that game.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

When will this awful tradition end? But hey at least it sucks more for the Raiders since they'll be flying from an extra three time zones away.

If the NFL decides to put a team in London it wouldn't surprise me to see the Fins be considered.

As a business decision at least the stands would always be full (with ex-soccer hooligan, vuvuzela tooting) London Dolphin fans.

    Blimey...

I hate early byes. I feel like teams need it more come weeks 6-8. The time zone thing will mess up the raiders more, but surprisingly it'll only be an hour or so longer flight for them.

Decent odds the team that goes is from Florida. Decent odds that team is the Jags.

I would have liked it to be a home game for us - nobody goes to the games in Miami.

In addition to having one of our away games in London, the Dolphins are likely to play in Detroit next Thanksgiving.

Yeah this seems like a pretty good deal for us. Rather play the Raiders in London than Oakland.

We also know that, in addition to playing the Pats, Jets, and Bills twice, we will play GB, Minny, Detroit, Da Bears, Denver, KC, and SD, with one being away, in addition to the Raiders game.

If you thought you were tired of 6-10 and 7-9 seasons, just get a load of that schedule.

Yeah and we'll probably get two more good teams to finish it off no matter where we finish.

    Here's the complete run down.

Home- KC, SD, GB, Minny, Jets, Pats, Bills, and whoever finishes the same as us in the AFC North (Pitt, Balt, Cinci, Cleve)

Away- Denver, Oak, Det, Bears, Jets, Pats, Bills, and same finish in AFC South (Tenn, Jax, or Houstn).

With just a few minor adjustments in the off-season it looks like we may go 19-0 next year....

I think a team in London would work if you could bring the Concorde plane out of mothballs. I think it was able to fly from London to Miami or New York in about three hours, instead of the usual seven hours to cross the Atlantic. I am sure the NFL could pony up the money to get one into running condition. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a team there within the next 5-10 years. Goodell wants this to happen.

I think the NFL has some sort of agenda about giving us early bye weeks. When was the last time we had a bye week in the second half of the season?

Yea it will be either Miami or Buffalo vs the Lions on thanksgiving. Although Miami seems like they are on thanksgiving pretty often. (Vs Dallas just a few years ago) and the Bills actually could be kinda exciting next year dare I say? Maybe they throw them a bone and put them on thanksgiving nationally vs the Lions.

I'd prefer just to sit back and watch thanksgiving games instead of scheduling most of my day around when the Fins are playing haha

Between the Fins and the Bills, I would guess the Fins as it would generate better tv ratings due to the geography. I think the Fins still have a good national interest as well that seems to have picked up this year based on my observations. It seems lately I go out around the Dallas area wearing something Fins and seem to always run into someone who is a fan.

Well you know what they say about teams traveling from the west coast to the east. Let's hope it stays true in this situation.

It's not if.... But when. There's a whole lotta money to be gained and it will make one of the most powerful and popular leagues that much more powerful.

My guess is they would not add just one team to the NFL, as this would make the conferences unbalanced. I bet LA gets one team and London gets the other.

I know Detroit will host the non conference matchup of the two day games next Thanksgiving.

I also know the AFC East will play the NFC North in non conference games next season.

Knowing these facts I was trying to think back to which AFC East teams hosted Detroit the last time these two divisions played.

I couldnt remember if we played up there or not last time. Based on your post Im assuming you know we hosted them last time and will travel to Detroit next season.

Do you know which of the other AFC East teams will travel to Detroit? If its the Pats, they will likely get the game. If its the Bills, we will likely get the game. If its the Jests, its pretty much a toss up as to which of the two gets the game.

Miami and Buffalo play in Detroit next season. While locally the support sucks, the Dolphins are still much more relevant nationally than the Bills. That is why I assume Miami will play on Thanksgiving.

If you do go have a great trip. Start your research here: www.visitlondon.com . FWIW, my wife and I went to London in 2009 and my son and I went in 2012 (both were to see that Patriots play). It's a great city and it would be great, but a bit expensive (watch the conversion rate from GBP to USD so you are not surprised when you get your CC bill), to go for 4-6 days at least and take in the sights. There is way too much to see, even in a week.
