Dolphins coach Adam Gase said suspended SLB Lawrence Timmons is "taking the steps to make it back."
The Dolphins haven't provided much on Timmons since he went AWOL before Week 2. He can be suspended for up to four games under the CBA, but there's a good chance he'll return before that. Despite rumblings the Dolphins could move on from Timmons, his contract and Miami's lack of linebackers strongly suggests he'll be back with the team.

FFI claims Gase said that in his Thurs press conference? I watched his Thursday press conference and he didn't say that????

Sounds to me like Gase knows he's 'mission critical' as hoops would say. Good. Get by the jets and see how the young guys do, have Timmons back for new orleans

Im with you on this - I think he gets re-instated after the Jets game for first game at home...hope the team isnt looking ahead to next week...

Guy was a stalwart in Pittsburgh. Unless he killed somebody or raped somebody or something of that nature, he should be given the opportunity to earn his way back on this team.

So what if he plays a critical position of need and if he was a rookie he would of been cut already . . . fact is he is a veteran and he does play a very important position for us.

Truly think this was some baby mama drama and the kids were being used in the process and Timmons just lost it for a minute. Personal life happens and in the social media age, speculation is inevitable. Shut us all up with the way you showed up in that 3rd preseason game.

You know the first home game is really in London right?

I think it will feel like we are the home team. Ajayi probably has a decent following over there, and in the past years those folks over the pond seem to like us

Had nothing to do with baby mama, he got selfish and wanted to go to the casinos. Still he should be forgiven.

Are you just speculating? Where did you see or hear that? The team and the player have both kept a very tight lid on what actually happened.

Yes it's one of those friends brothers friend who works for the org. On phinzone forums but seems believable.

This was always going to happen. I'm happy enough to see it too. Not just for the LB help, which is critical, but because everyone deserves a second chance and nobody should get a third one.

This is the NFL, so he probably would have been better off doing either one of those.

It was discussed on espn I think. Abandoning your team is the worst offense you can commit they'd rather see you arrested

I don't care what happened behind closed door, as a veteran and a man with a job he knew you have to at least call your employer to let them know you can't make it for whatever reason if they accept it or not thats fine at least you told them. It's behind us now but he would have to pay for it heftly if it was me. I think taking his next year's guaranteed money something around 4.5 mil? Is a good humbling consequence to let you know not to ever pull something like that again
