Danny Amendola, woo hoo. Our front office should look up the definition of cargo cult.
Got the message on my phone just now. Very interesting!
Barf. What the ****.
how many gosh darn slots do we need? WTF!
"Danny Amendola is staying in the AFC East... expected to sign with Miami Dolphins per source."
OK, who's being set free? CARROO? Are we trying to have the smallest WR core in the NFL?
This can’t be true?
Somebody is on their way out if it is.
Per Dan Hellie
Danny Amendola is staying in the AFC East...expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins per source
addition by subtraction but man, this front office is curious
I don't like it. Just signed Wilson in slot. Amendola without Brady is just a decent aging player.
You’re kidding right? The guy had 152 yards in the Super Bowl for **** sake. You don’t have to be 6’7 to be good.
All your slot receivers are belong to us
Decent player. Wonder what the numbers are.
ALL. THE. SLOTS. This may be telling of Parker.
I don't understand why
More on Carroo.
Parker is an outside WR only.
Not a fan of him with the Pats so this one will take getting used to.
we have 3 threads on this
This may seem nuts but I actually see now that there is a plan at work here. And that plan is to have a smarter football team. Think about it. Amendola is a guy who has a high football IQ and has been able to play in a very complex offense in New England with success. Albert Wilson is known as a guy with a very high football IQ and we went out and grabbed him.
Go back to Adam Gase's press conference on Friday after the Baltimore meltdown. He said he was done compromising his offense for anybody and he wanted guys who would learn the playbook inside and out.
A lot of things coming into focus now, IMO.
A 32 year old wr.. please be 2 years 12 mill
Going 4 wide every down. lol
Stills-Wilson Drake Amendola-Parker
Like the player, curious on the numbers cause he's 32.
Uhm.. like as a coach??
We must have posted simultaneously, there were none when I started ....
So apparently it actually wasn't difficult to replace Landry
I love it. Another solid veteran presence from a Super Bowl winning culture.
Plus, F the Pats.
Bye Carroo lol. Wanted to see some more Jakeem Grant this year...wonder how much playing time he gets. Getting crowded suddenly.
And we know how good our past signings based on Super Bowl performance have gone. 'Member Donnel Elerbe.
Ok, I’m starting to see the plan on offense. Gase just needs to open the playbook. I also like the fact that we just pulled a weapon from Brady.
I can't see Amendola or Wilson playing Parker's role in the offense. I'm actually wondering if Wilson changed his mind about signing since nothing can be final until Wednesday.
I like him, Wes Welker type of player...he is good.
Not impressed with this signing. Older, often injured and underachieved in a system where lower round/less talented guys of his stature excel.
Correct, but we have two slots... I really hope we aren’t playing to play one outside.
This can't be rebuilding. Just a splash.
I was thinking the same thing. The slot is very crowded at least.
I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas Clark is our starting TE next season
Wasn't he in Denver under gase for a year
I wonder if they move Parker and draft Calvin Ridley as their alpha? Not out of the question given Gase’s love of the passing game.
Yeah not sure about this one. He's 32 and how often do WRs produce once they leave the Patriots' system? He was pretty good years ago with the Rams though. Still this team is not "rebuilding" like some had thought. Wonder how much guaranteed money they are offering him. Either the Patriots didn't want him back or the Dolphins are going to severely overpay him.
