Andrew Luck & Brandon Marshall wouldn't get along anyway. Serious personality clash..

- [Luck] has said that he doesn't want to play for teams that have "Suck 4 Luck" fans.
Andrew Luck needs to come back to reality and realize that the fans of the league's worst teams have little else to hope for right now.

I suppose he wants to be drafted highly and therefore by a team that's playing very poorly, but whose fans are so superhuman that despite how poor their team looks to be all year, they have no hope to draft Luck.

That's actually somewhat of a black mark against Luck IMO. It shows he has a pretty naive view of reality and of human nature.

Not a real mature sentiment IMO.

yes if you're talking about personalities and can they get along

I mean, it's no secret that guys with personalities like Luck and Marshall clash.

That's just common sense.

That's why when we choose women to date, we can pretty much tell who we'd get along with and who we wouldn't and justify why we wouldn't risk it...without knowing that person.

Brandon is the kind of guy that always needs the football. He has to have 100+ and a score every game or he's not happy. Winning isn't enough for that guy if he's not in the spotlight. He's demonstrated this time and time again.

No, it's a personality type.

Andrew Luck is a competitor, and he can't relate to fans who want their team to lose, so they can get good draft picks.

Andrew Luck is the type of guy who would be happy to join a 0-16 team of physically weak kids, who played with heart, and always fought to win.

He just can't relate to people who would roll over, give up, and look for a draft-pick welfare handout.

IMO Marshall wouldn't be that hard to get along with- for anyone. You just have to account for the unique psychology of him, but also the unique mindset from many UCF players as well.

As a former Golden Knight, there was always this shadow cast over our school from FSU, UM, and UF. In this light, many UCF'ers can tend to be a bit rogue-ish, independent-minded, a bit exuberant in self-proclamations, and seemingly very proud. This can come off as "diva"-like but it really can be rooted to the high ambition to prove the greater, and truer, worth of oneself from out of the unwanted shadows cast over them. It's like a deeply embedded up-start/underdog mindset looking to find validation/recognition or to constantly build up one's prestige and social value. UCF is a thriving school, but it is still young in comparison to the others. Like it's city in which it resides, it hasn't plateaued- just continues to grow into something bigger.
It has nothing to do with selfishness, or team concept, but an untapped potential.

From that perspective, it's easier to read Marshall bravado, and also when he enters the up-start mindset that sometimes needs coddling or recognition. Just realize, that like in Denver, when used properly (new OC plz), he can be a power to be reckoned with.

Just sayin'...

This losing mentality that people talk about is not brought about by Suck 4 Luck. It's brought by having a bad team for a decade.

Uh, Brandon Marshall has Borderline Personality Disorder.

I think this goes a little beyond "UCF."

Right, so say you wouldn't want to play with players who exhibit "suck for Luck," not fans.

Of what import is the fans' mentality anyway? How does that affect thing one a quarterback is tasked to do in the NFL?

My point is, that it's a component to him.

No one is perfect. But does he have great upside for football play? Absolutely

Look at Incognito, he was a piece of work coming from St. Louis. Arguably, he was far more destructive to the team-concept and created worse negative media attention on himself- far more than Marshall has ever done to the fins organization.

So many of you might be just 'hating' on him unnecessarily- similar to the vein of the hating that goes on toward a Lebron or Tebow. All great athletes but all have not plateaued or achieved what is expected of them as of yet- yet get acclaim that may not be justified.

All Marshall needs to do is not talk to the media so much and you guys will be fine.

I think when you compare it to a fairly severe mental disorder that's woven into the very fabric of his personality, it's a very weak one.
