Raiders | Deal with Cleveland a possibility?
Fri, 27 Apr 2007 12:05:48 -0700
ESPN's Ed Werder reports there is a chance the Oakland Raiders work out a trade with the Cleveland Browns during the first round of the NFL Draft. There is speculation the Browns could send WR Braylon Edwards to the Raiders in addition to the No. 3 pick overall for the first-overall selection.

Damn this is getting crazy now. I expect more to come before 11 tomorrow...

Awwww hell....lets just say even through the draft...why stop at 11....lol

You missed the latest rumour, Oakland want Quinn but not at no.1 money so they take Johnson which means Detroits number 2 pick is less valuable. They stick and take Thomas, Adams Cleveland then take Russel and Quinn goes to Tampa where they trade and Oakland gets their man at number 4 money.

Its silly season with the rumours, with all this build up its probably going to be the most boring and straight forward draft in history!!!

Just great, the year we have a top pick, it was like having the plague !!!!!!!!!!!!

Makes sense

Cleveland takes Calvin Johnson, and Oakland still has a QB at #3 spot plus a major threat lined up opposite Randy Moss, a devastating WR combo, they get the total package in one move...a top QB in the draft, a franchise WR.

I think they would demand a 3rd or 4th rounder as well though.

IMO that's a no-brainer for Oakland and a boneheaded trade for Cleveland. I don't see that happening. With all their needs, all Cleveland gets out of the No. 3 overall pick is an upgrade from Edwards to Johnson?

if cleveland made that trade they would be stupid. if they trade braylon edwards they won't have a dependable reciever.
