Every guy that likes to party wants to come to Miami
Baker Mayfield wants to play in the NFL- he will want to play for _______ insert team between now and draft day...
Yup. Except qbs and the browns
Its going to be a longgggggg offseason
Most players never name a team they wanna play for. Its usually I will be happy to go anywhere. Kinda surprised me he came right out and says Miami.
This is true
Gonna be? It already is...
Its technically not even the off season yet. I mean it is for us.
I’d rather have Josh Allen
Is he friends with Stills?
Not me. Baker Mayfield has the IT factor and is a leader.
The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are open to using the No. 11 overall pick on a quarterback "if he is the best player on their board."
Reporter Adam Beasley dropped the nugget in a Thursday article about Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield posting on social media "#GetMeToMiami." Mayfield was commenting on an Instagram video posted by Kenny Stills. Mayfield seems likely to a be a first-round pick, but just where that might be is anybody's guess at this stage of the process.
Things just got a little complicated.......I am bracing for the onslaught.
The weather? The lifestyle? Maybe but there's Tampa and The LA Rams and lifestyles when people are young and wealthy and responsibility free (no kids) is just as good in many places as Miami. OK Miami is the sexiest place on the planet - but still...Millions in most USA cities gets you plenty of sexy!
Gase? yeah I think its the combo - Gase - where he could be drafted and a place to develop for a year or two and then move on from Tannehill...
Miami is crazy to pass on him if we can get him...Just sayin.
I’d love him, but I don’t see Miami taking a qb.
Lots of smokescreens this time of year so you never know where this started. Did Miami let him know they like him to distract another team like the Jets? Who knows. The bottom line is what the FO thinks about BM when he comes up on the board. I personally love the kid but doubt he will drop to 11 anyway. So many teams 1-10 need QBs.
We havent reached it yet
Remember that time Melvin Ingram was a done deal to Miami based on that photo he posted? I'm just not sure how much it really means in the end- I bet he says he could see himself playing in X (Denver for an example) before we get to the draft. That's all I'm saying.
He saw that picture of Stills in the dress and wanted to be wherever he was.
OK, if he falls to the 3rd, Miami should consider it, anything higher for a QB IS A big no no.
Does he think that he could beat out Tannehill in a year or so?
Baker wants to be drafted as high as 11 and we will be drafting a qb at some point in the draft. Nothing to really see here.
Could be the thought process or you know...living in Miami vs anywhere in the midwest.
They are both Sooners, so probably
Miami checks lot of boxes:
No state income tax
Nightlife, Infrastructure, etc
Do what?? You’re dreaming if you think he makes it to the 3rd

FWIW, on conference call Mel Kiper said as of now he's not hearing Baker Mayfield being discussed in the top 10. By April? That could change.

Baker Mayfield 3 word report Anticipates Accurate Creative
Lets get the train really rolling.....
Wouldn't be too opposed to it depending how the first 10 picks went
That trains gonna slow down when he comes in 6 foot and change and runs 4.7s
Better get on those tippy toes kid
Lol, could you imagine if Manziel would have came to Miami
If Drew Brees can have success at that height, Baker wouldn't have that as an excuse.
Drew Brees wasn’t drafted top 10 was he? And he came from a pro style offense
I think that tua kid for bama is more Drew Brees
I think after the height weight speed stuff is done baker and Roquan both will be there when miami picks at 11
Kiper's not hearing, teams don't talk to draftniks about their actual plans, ever. Kiper is a man with a pompadour who is wrong, every year.
And most likely they will be there after Miami picks another player
What does height have to do with draft status?
That line of thinking is the reason you miss on the Brees', Wilsons', & such. Does his play & most importantly his character warrant the selection matter much more.
Yeah you are gonna point out the outliers of course
We will agree to disagree
If Mayfield is sitting there when we pick at #11 I think we have to pull the trigger.
Remember when Tannehill was bvtching because that guy on the practice squad was intercepting his passes?
Is there any doubt that if we drafted Mayfield he would have Tannehill holding a clipboard and sitting on the bench like the loser he is immediately.
Lol!! The outliers...
I read your comment 2 more times just to make sure, but maybe I'm missing the chunk of meat in the post entirely?
