Bills WLB Kiko Alonso tore his ACL while working out and is expected to miss the season.
It's a massive loss for a Bills defense that quietly ranked 10th in the league last year and was trending up. The versatile and athletic Alonso played every single snap during his standout rookie campaign, dominating in coverage and coming second in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting. He's been slapped with a 7-9 month recovery timetable and will likely be placed on injured reserve shortly. Next up at weak-side linebacker as the Bills shift to a 4-3 would be Nigel Bradham or Preston Brown.

Big time injury for the Bills, dude was a stud last year.

Tough break. The AFC East saw two big injuries in just over a week's span. Hopefully we can get Pouncey back early in the season, but Alonso is done for the year.

For sure, that's as big as an impact as the Pouncey injury or bigger actually IMO.

Bad news for the Bills and for Kiko. Hope it doesn't derail him for too long.

I was a big fan of Preston Brown in this draft though. Looks like Buff will be calling on him sooner than planned to be a part of their excellent D.

Maybe we could ship em Wheeler for an autographed Scott Norwood jersey and a case of wing sauce...

Bills fans are going to love Preston Brown. The kid knows how to play.
