Interesting how Thomas and Saunders supported Gase there. It wasn’t about Joseph it was about something bigger.

I would be more impressed by Gase if his team didn't get embarassed by teams like the Saints, Jets, Ravens, Panthers and Patriots like they have this year. Also would be impressed if Gase's team could have beat scrub teams like the Raiders and Buccaneers. I am not really impressed by trying to run the score up against an awful team like the Broncos. His team played well today but lets see them stay within two scores of the Patriots next week.

It was a message to Elway. Bad blood there with how Gase left Denver as he originally wasn't allowed to leave when the rest of Fox's staff was fired

I hope to God it WAS to send a msg. That would mean gase is channeling his inner beast mode and I hope it continues. The greats don't play scared.

Right. Totally MEANINGLESS win on all fronts -- and yet????????? onside kick??????????????

It really takes a LOSER to lose even when you supposedly win.

I thought it was bush league. Particularly when you’re 4-7 and playing a meaningless game. Completely bush league.

"Gase calls plays weak and too conservative"
    "Gase should learn from billichek"

.....Gase finally steps on the throat of his opponent exactly as BB would....

    "Gase is a *****!"
    "Bush league"

I ask again, does every team have fans like this or are we just the lucky ones? Don't know if any of you people doing the whining like little girls watched the game but that was great offensive play calling today. And i freaking love that he called the onside!!

Just straight stupidity. He can't win. Some people are mad we won and didn't just lay down and die and try to lose? Then everyone would be saying we have a bunch of quitters

So I've been highly critical of Gase this season. Obviously, as a fins fan, I hope he turns it around next year and has this team back in the playoffs. But even as a critic of Gase this year, I got to say I loved reading the following in the article:

"Gase is a savage,'' Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders said. " ... He loves to win, he loves to embarrass you. That doesn't surprise you.''

"It's 60 minutes,'' Gase said after Sunday's game. "I'm not going to slow down. I don't care what the score is."

"That's Goose, man,'' running back C.J. Anderson said. "He sees blood in the water, he's just going to attack it.''

I don’t care. Embarrass them. Miami has been a laughingstock for far too long. But time Miami starts playing with a chip on their shoulders.

Considering we've blown BLOWN OUT several times this year I have to assume Gase needs to be a LOT MORE "SAVAGE" M-Sat

there is way more then i would like to speculate. i think what goes on behind the doors has been kept quite tight lipped. he had a vendetta both games and it showed with the effort the players played with. this team will be i hope for the better changed into what he wants to mold his team into. i agree with many posters on here that the FO is trash and needs to go, but from what i'm seeing it seems like gase is the one pulling all the strings. keeping players your vested in is a nonissue but the money spent on them is. i might be in he minority when i say this, but i wouldn't mind this team winning out. would say a lot for this team to finish with a winning record.

    It is what it is...

Years ago I was visiting some high school in West Texas...was introduced to the nodding donkey and the world of no running clock. In Florida, if you go up by 35 in the second half the rest of the game is on a running clock. I assumed it was like that everywhere. A game I went to was 42-0 at halftime and I mentioned: "running clock for the rest, get out of here early". The man I was with said..."running clock, ****, this is Texas, you get your *** beat for 48 minutes".

Right now, you have some fans that will never be happy with what Gase does, sort of like Tannehill...they formulated their opinion and will continue to find things to fit that.

So true. So many around here wouldn't know what a great HC quacks like let alone coaches like considering a good number of us were raised on Shula and potatoes! There are a number of rather obvious signs of a "great coach" in the building --- IMO Gase has ZERO!

And that's not because of some dime store bubble gum machine psyche analysis -- it's based on many years of perception and experience. Gase is NOT the answer.

    End of story.

    Where's the glory?

And BTW -- meaningless "wins" are for losers!

That's one of the problems with hiring a young coach. He hasn't bounced around enough to hold venom against half the league.

I find it weird that when the Dolphins do something like this it considered over kill. Yet when our division leader does something like this it's perfectly acceptable to do something like this.

    Jesus wept.

    Who cares?

We won. If you have a problem with it, go be a Patriots guy. Mighty easy to root for them these days.

They said the same of us in the 70s.

    And 80s.

Dolphins fans ***** after a decisive win.

    ****ing incredible.

If you don’t want a onside kick, don’t let them score. It’s a easy as that.

I don't understand these unwritten rules that teams must not go for an onside kick when well ahead. Brady plays to embarrass his opponents every single week, every single play, but Miami going for an onside kick is bad. I just don't understand it.

What's not to understand? The Patriots are the NFL's darlings while the rest of the league can rot.

Gase was pissed at Elway because he didn’t think he was a viable head coaching candidate? That’s hilarious lol.

    John Elway was correct.

We finally won a game in convincing fashion and still some of you ***** and complain, the Dolphins are not going to tank the season so we can get a higher draft pick so better get use to it. I could care less if he kick three onside kicks and ran the score up by 100, way to go Gase, do it again if you feel like it.

Joseph was never John Elway's guy. He was a secondary option he had to settle for due to Gary Kubiak, the coach who he won a Super Bowl with needing to step away for health concerns. Context is everything.

We do this thing every year. Win meaningless games when the season has already been decided, just damaging our draft position for the top quarterback prospects.

These wins make you pleased? lol

A win make me please, hoping to lose so you can move up to spots in the draft will not make much difference, think of the Phins as a two year project before we start making any serious noise. In the meantime enjoy the win.......we deserve it.

I love that you mention context and don't reference how Elway has destroyed that team through really bad moves over the last few years. He didn't even build the team he won with.

    Oh the irony....

If someone had done that to us.....I would have thought it was bush league. So, I have to also say it was bush league to do against Denver.

However, I also think aside from sending a message to Elway and even VJ, there definitely is some value in having our team do the punching every once in awhile to help build some confidence. It also gives opposing coaches something to look at on tape in the coming weeks that they have to think about.

At the end of the day.....this isn't a big deal.
