I am having a hard time coming up with any positive thing Gase has done since the Steelers blow out last season. The only thing may be a decent defensive draft, but from the performance last few games, the jury still out.
But the negatives...
Failed to make RT to have surgery
Rely on Pouncey
Failed to address the OL
Failed to handle Ajayi, which led to only getting a 4th
Play McMillan on special team
Started to lose the team when not starting Moore and signing Culter ( speculation, but there are some whispers on local talk shows )
Only sign players he familiar with
Wasting 10 mil on Culter
J Thomas
Manualuga
FAIL TO PREPARE THE TEAM IN EVERY GAME
refuse to be creative ( at least Sparano tried wild cat )
bad play calling
bad use of time out ( late in Chargers game )
Failed to motivate the team even on national TV

Last but not least, now I am not too sure he is offensive genius as he claims to be. Shula changed his whole offensive philosophy from power running to pure passing when he got Marino and Marks brothers. That is using players to their potential. Gase tried to make players to fit his system, like forcing a square peg to a round hole.

Some of you still giving him a bye because of RT, but back to my point again, Gase let RT to have the voodoo healing. And I am not sure even what a healthy RT can do behind this line.

Yes, he took the team to playoff in his first season. So did Sparano.

I don't think you can blame him for RT's re-injury. He would have taken advice from medical staff & specialists. I don't think Gase would or should be making decisions about surgery for a player.
Neither for the McMillan injury. Even as a starter he wouldn't have been playing every snap, so I'd expect him to be on Special Teams as a rookie.
Both are easy to criticize in hindsight.

I can't really argue with many of the others.

Not going to Moore sooner is my gripe. The rest aren't solely on him. I don't blame him for McMillan getting hurt. **** unfortunately happens.

That is an accurate list IMO. This season has been a failure. His biggest failure has been neglecting the OL. IMO it all starts on both lines. I hope he changes his vision for this group and decides to make the OL Miami's strongest unit. Despite all his failures however I still have strong hope Gase is the guy. Last season earned him a lot of credit for me. I have to remember that he lost Tannehill, had multiple other key injuries, has been challenged with off the field stuff, and he is only 39 in the second season of his first HC job. He needs to be given time to grow.

Meh, I understand the Cutler decision even though it didn't work out. Moore played well against subpar competition, even though they were tough divisional games.......he could not beat the likes of Pittsburg and NE though so a QB that was familiar with the system and played pretty well under it that has more God given talent was brought in. Tannehill's loss cannot be overstated as he was a league leader in passes over 20 yards last year which is missing from this offense....that opened the running game up last year.

The Culter decesion is a beating a dead horse topic here. But to answer you, Gase under estimated the dynamic between Moore and the rest of the team. Moore is well like. Players trust him. Don't believe for one second that players were all on board with Culter instead of Moore. Your only point of 'familiar with the system' is not worth the 10 mil as I am sure Moore knows the system even better. Culter was retired. His poor machanic and uninspired demeanor was well documented. It was an unnecessary big gamble, and Gase lost big.

I'm astonished by people. Let's go through your list real quick.

Failed to make RT to have surgery - adam gase can't MAKE anyone do anything, this decision was not on him, many different people gave opinions and I guarantee you Tannehill had more of an impact on this decision than gase but okay.

Rely on Pouncey - Pouncey has regressed, but lets not pretend that everyone knew that was going to happen, when he played last year our o-line was so much better and everyone expected him to help immensely this year. You can't fault Gase for believing in a guy who has been a beast when healthy. We'll see what happens with this going forward.

Failed to address the OL - hate that he didn't address guards, but if you cant tell our team has holes at most positions, can't fix everything in one summer. Hopefully he fixes this eventually.

Failed to handle Ajayi, which led to only getting a 4th - Trades Ajayi, our offense puts up the best offensive game, and fourth best offensive game in the two games since in terms of yards. The defense on the other hand has put up the WORST two games of the season. Ajayi doesnt fit the scheme, has attitude problems, offense is terrible, gase trades him. Kudos to gase. I'm also tired of people saying he only got a fourth. Do you think he was offered a first and declined it for a fourth? NO.

Play McMillan on special team - guys a rookie, freak injury but yes lets blame gase for this lmfao

Started to lose the team when not starting Moore and signing Culter ( speculation, but there are some whispers on local talk shows ) - havent heard anything about this, seems like complete BS. All reports ive seen the team loves gase but if you can show me them then ill believe you more.

Only sign players he familiar with - I'm guessing this is Cutler and Thomas. Yes Gase is a complete moron for signing a TE who he had crazy success with and hoping he could help our offense (sarcasm). Cutler knew the system and is better than Moore and he didnt want to throw the towel in on the season. What a terrible coach.

Wasting 10 mil on Culter - see above
J Thomas - see above
Manualuga - we lose our rookie RB who was supposed to help with the run game, so we sign a known run stopper. How is this stupid at all

FAIL TO PREPARE THE TEAM IN EVERY GAME - Can't argue this, I do think the team would be way different with Tannehill but we will see next year.

refuse to be creative ( at least Sparano tried wild cat )
bad play calling - lets put these two together. playcalling has been fine since the Ajayi trade, since Gase has two rb's who fit his offense. Is it his fault Cutlers missing open receivers? or that receivers arent blocking? Not every playcall is perfect but holy hell

bad use of time out ( late in Chargers game ) - mistake, coaches make them and learn from them.

Failed to motivate the team even on national TV - This is a team problem and includes the players. Everyone putting all the hate on gase for this is ridiculous

We saw what Moore did against the Ravens (and against AFC Playoff Teams last year)....yes he was under pressure just Like Cutler and Tannehill but also missed WIDE OPEN PASSES just like Cutler did. We would be in no better shape than we are right now if Moore was the starting QB. The decision to bring in Cutler had ZERO impact on what record we would have......just sucks it was a waste of $10M. But Please don't even talk about this team being better with Moore because it isn't. The worst game we have had all year was with him at QB.

Using the Ravens game to judge Moore is unfair. We always have bad matchup against Ravens. That game was lost before they got on the plane. And do truly beleive even with RT that we had a chance in Pittsburgh on that day?
Many people beleive the team could be better with Moore under center. Most national media and Chicago fans were snickering when we signed Culter. Now I see why.

I didn't use just the Ravens (Pats and Steelers too) and yes I believe that Tannehill would have beat Pittsburg as he had already that season and yes I know it was not the same Steelers team......but in both the Pats and Steelers games with Moore, it was his spurts of bone head plays that he is known for that cost us both games. He plays well to start and finish, but has the critically bad mistakes he makes that always end up being the difference. That has basically defined him against the better teams. As far as Cutler goes, I wish we wouldn't have signed him as we are out 10M....but starting Moore would have done nothing for our record.

Excuse for every single thing. When you add it up together equals to bad coaching job.
Case in point, how can you rely on a player [pouncey] not practice all preseason and made no contingency plan.

4th and 1 against Carolina and you run right up the middle? Gase play calling still sucks... not to mention he's still calling the bubble screen 3-5 times a game.

That was Tannehill's decision...not Gase's....and I'm pretty sure the surgeon didn't advise against surgery either.

Adam Gase is 40 years old. Did it ever occur to anyone he can actually improve? Learn? Grow as a head coach. He led the team to the playoffs last year with a so so group of talent. Can we let the man have some damn time? Why does a guy need to be fired after 9 games of so so results? Can we even finish the season before anyone brings in the dynamite to “blow it up” 25 games into a young coaches time? Sporano had four years. Philbin four years. Gase 1.5. Yeah, let’s blow it up.
