Did anyone else see Chad Pennington and his super cute blonde son at the final home game for the Miami Heat vs. the Detroit Pistons tonight?

Oh, he was there watching and waiting closely for El Heat to win in overtime - meanwhile, his little boy slept next to his side. It was so precious.

This is my first thread so be gentle, and if it needs to be moved, I'm cool with that. I just loved how Chad was there to watch the 43rd Heat win of the season go down right before they move into the playoffs.

Where was the Heat last year? Where were the Dolphins the previous season before Chad showed up? Even Reed the announcer was shouting how Quinn was the Pennington of the night - all heroic and stuff.

Granted, for those who weren't there to see it for ourselves, it does sound a tad "creepy."

yes... brought back some warm and welcoming memories.. or if I was young enough, then it would have been mammaries.

I see you expunged the Montreal Nationals from your sig. :(A fair-weather fan? Probably a better percentage in rooting for the Marlins, doncha think?

I was there last night and was probably cheering the lowdest when they announced him. Beasley is a gonna be unstoppable but needs to stop settling for so many J's. Anthony looks like a preschooler on offense but has some nasty D

Its always cool to see players "in real life," just enjoying themselves.
Plus great to see players actually being good role models to thier children opposed to players having 9 kids with 9 different girls.

And by the way welcome to the boards. Pretty solid first post, I especially didn't see it because I can't watch NBA basketball. Just make sure not to start many "trade Brown/Ginn/Pennington/Henne/Porter/Long/every player under the sun" or "Cam was a good coach" threads and you'll be OK here.

Nope. I'm watching the Nats game right now actually but baseball doesn't take precedence over the Phins or Spurs ever for me

Besides, to be fair weather, they would have needed to have been good at one point. So far, I don't recall that ever happening.

Well it is nice to have a misses on the forums once again. The only female posters I have ever heard of on here were much before my time...

unless they are hiding and waiting for the right time to take away the last thing held sacred by so many men!!!

I always love seeing Dolphins, Marlins, and Heat players at the other teams games. Love the support for their fellow SoFla teams!

Sharp, you are a sharp one as I am female.

Sorry to have creeped out others with wandering imaginations but after re-reading my OP I can sorta see why some went in that direction. What can I say, seeing Chad and his sleeping son during the last bits of the game was precious. Good thing I didn't add how his son has much better hair thus far (I have a thing about how flat Chad's hair always looks, zero body and needs some volumizing or... something).

Yeah, and if any of you play Pogo games then maybe we've "met" before and I've kicked your butt (at yahtzee, monopoly or pool - I'm playing yahtzee now).

Love your sigline pic of Beasley... Sunday nite 8 PM, VAMANOS EL HEAT!

Was this a dig at Travis Henry  ?

    I concur.

Oh, and thanks for the welcome! This is my first place to lurk for any good updates about the Dolphins. Wasn't aware that most members are males but I really never bothered to note the gender of anyone.

By the way, on the first day of the NFL Draft, the Heat host Atlanta at 6:30 PM. Since the draft is from 4-8, we're planning on going to Dolphin Stadium for the draft but to also catch the first half of the Heat game on a few big screens here and there before they close shop at 8 PM.

It's like a 2 for 1 dealie. 2.5 hours of the draft and some of the Heat Playoff game.

See, on Draft Day a couple few seasons ago, the Heat just so happened to be playing during a Playoff game and we wound up next to a bar with the game on (not a big screen) and fellow Miami fans cheering and rooting their butts off.

    Once again, good times.
