This sucks because Tannehill and Clay seemed to be developing a chemistry in the second half of the season. Good news that he will be back mini camps.

He really came around in the second half of the season. I hope he makes a full recovery, I'd like to see how effective he is when we get some better receivers.

Slow start to the season but has been making some nice progress recently. Big loss for the last few games.

Well, Egnew might get a chance but also, Moore and Mathews and Thigpen should get more snaps out there. Regarless, TE is a position they need to take care of in the off season.

    Ozzy rules!!

This would be the only way he gets activated by default bc he sure as Hell wasn't challenging for playing time otherwise

This is actually great news in a sense. For now we should be able to see if Egnew is any good or trash "this" year after all. :)

Egnew is a project, has been since the first day of camp. If he isnt ready he wont play. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't take a snap until next season- regardless of Clay's injury.

Everyone keeps saying that Tannehill was a project, yet that project was out on the field. I believe that draft picks from rounds 1-3 need to play and can not sit. That is only way tou find out if you have filled a need. Now going forward, we still don't know if a TE has to be drafted or not because Egnew could not be evaluated.

I suspect Kyle Miller gets activated before Eggnog does

Didn't Ireland know that you don't draft Tight Ends from Missouri?! None of them pan out in the NFL.

Isn't it pathetic that it has to take an injury, in the 16th game of the season, to MAYBE activate your rookie third round pick? That's when you know you drafted a bust.

Omar strikes again. He said he thought that because Clay was positive after the game he would be fine. Nice job Omar. He must have been eating cereal.

When people see a player come up lame with a knee issue I think most people think longer than 3 months may be in order.

That looked like a nasty low hit Clay took, the type I always associate with ligament injuries. I was surprised he got up .

If it wereto the ACL and anything more than a minor tear he'd be out a lot longer than 3 months because he'd have to have reconstructive surgery.
