Brace yourself for some Ray Lewis attention whoring segment. :rolleyes2: He will talk himself up all spiritually and ****. It's inevitable.

Anyways, I'm going to pick the Colts and the Seahawks for today's games.

Omg........ vontae just dropped a clear pick 6...... Wow vontae.... but then again, ed reed has also dropped a pick 6, so who knows. Vontae does have 1 pass defended. im rooting for um but that dropped pick 6 was dissappointing.

The ravens are obviously trying to pick on vontae but it's not working. He's playing hard. I'm sure hes plenty motivated by now, being in the playoffs or what not.

The Raven's receiver (who Vontae was guarding) dropped a TD....the pass was thrown hard and high but Vontae got beat. He also dropped a sure INT, but so did Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. Ray Lewis looked like Gibril Wilson dropping that gimme pick a few years back that hit him right in the hands, but Ray is playing with an injured arm so you can excuse that.

Colts best players in the first half were probably Vontae, Hilton, and Dwayne Allen. Hooray.

The Colts lack of D (and the Ravens' opportunistic D) does them in again.

Good god indy's corners are bad. Vontae seemed to be the only competent guy they had back there. Cassius Vaughn and Darius Butler were beaten like drums.

Griffin in college: knee injury, concussion.

Griffin's first season in the pros: knee injury, concussion.

    Nah, I don't see a trend here.

He shouldn't have been in the game. They Redskins should have taken him out after the 2nd TD pass when they saw him hobbling to the bench and could barely walk. Yet Mike Shannahan left him in and ran read options with him still? RGIII is a gladiator and doesn't have quit in him, but the coach needs to learn when hes hurting your team and the injury is too serious for him to play. Kirk Cousins should have been in since it was 14-0. It isn't an arm, its a knee. He re-aggravated it in the first quarter, and just injured it again. Playing with an injured arm, finger is completely different than playing with an injured knee. Really have to question Shan on this one.

Well don't worry because if the doctors find that more damage was done to the knee Shanahan will be fired.

And this is why we should have Tannehill a pass first run sparingly QB, though Shannahan is nuts for not pulling him after that first tweak.

That was awesome to start 4-0 versus the number with all four favorites covering. There are only 11 playoff games so how bad can it be? Actually I need a good stretch because the bowl games were not nearly as friendly as the past two years.

Down 14-0 with Seattle and giving 2.5 points, I only had one thing going for me -- sustained ineptitude by Robert Griffin. He deserves a late holiday card. Thank you very much. Didn't even look like the Redskins tried to score for the next 2+ quarters until he wobbled away.

I particularly loved the way he acted after the dropped snap near his goal line. Hysterical. He took a brief glimpse back at the ball, knowing he'd have to get up if Washington recovered. But once it was Seattle's ball his instincts were predictable...feign a devastating injury even though nobody touched him. Yeah, he twisted a little bit but I've seen Robert Griffin in far too many college games when events take a turn for the worse to fall for his act. I could list the games, going all the way back to two losses to Connecticut. Then last year at Oklahoma State. Or the bowl versus Illinois a year earlier. Tonight I knew damn well when he wandered off the field and into the lockerroom that he'd be back on the sideline before the game ended, basically no different than before that fumble.

Laying there pathetic on the turf it reminded me of Mike Tyson scrambling for his mouth piece after being knocked down by Buster Douglass.

Anyway, the sportsbooks got destroyed today, with all four favorites covering. I've already heard horror stories from a few spots. Collection lines around the corner. It will be even worse if Alabama covers tomorrow night against Notre Dame. Imagine all the 4 team parlay cards cashed tonight, and many cards with 4 winners already in, tied to Alabama tomorrow. The sportsbooks hate it when everything trends one way. So-called wise guys are crying tonight while the public is cashing tickets and otherwise carrying on with their normal lives. Sportsbooks had a fantastic September with record profits but beginning in October the bettors have had their way, including some of the worst weekends ever for Nevada sportsbooks.

How the heck did RG3 act? Did you know see his knee bend sideways? Your hate on him is definitely showing, his cleat was stuck on the ground and his knee went sideways. He could have torn his ACL.

i tried to tell people that from the jump this season...but this board is too short sighted...you can't run your qb to contact as much as shanny has this year...good thing he's a 23 year old or so...if he was 30 he'd be dead...

fellas the only thing washington did this year was take 5 years off rg3's shelf life..once those legs go in that o it's a wrap...barring them going with a totally different pro set o which griffen can't play in cause he can't read the field well enough this things history...within 5 years he's done..he's on a faster fall off track than mike vick had...

he better milk the **** out of it now...kills me that shannys this damn stupid

and seattle better be careful also falling into that read option trap...they seem to want to run wilson more than they should...although they at least run some pro sets and traditional stuff...you will lose a qb playing like that...

miami ran too much read option with tanny against buffalo...don't fall into the trap...you want a qb for the long haul...tanny got hit too much in that game going to that well...

you couldn't pay me to take either of those qbs on display tonight over tannehill...

 Im glad someone else noticed this.

Also, Im with the OP. **** Ray Lewis. Im so sick of hearing about him this week. Also, that **** at the end of the game, anyone else does that its showing the other team up. Someone who stabs people to death and preaches about God all the time its just a guy coming back out on the field to dance as his team takes a knee. Not a very classy move by John Harbaugh IMHO to send the knife back out there to do that.

To be fair all we know is that
    1) Ray Lewis gets into a fight
    2) A couple of people got stabbed to death
    3) ???????????????????????????
    4) Profit!

Supposedly he tried to break the fight up, but if he was involved in the fight itself but didnt stab anyone that at least makes him an accessory to the crime right?
either way the whole thing is murky.
And the fact that everyone all of the sudden forgets about this incident because its his last year is just funny to me.

You have to take the good with the bad, Why cant the analysts just say "Ray Lewis was a great MLB, who may or may not have killed someone."

Well, they can say that he obstructed justice, because he was convicted of that IIRC. But yeah, it's ridiculous.

Damn straight on the first parts. Even if he tried to break up the fight which is completely questionable, the man was an accessory to murder. We know a group of people he was with got into a fight with other people and 2 men wound up stabbed to death. Afterwards Lewis washed his clothing, plead guilty to obstruction, and paid a boatload of money to the victims families. Those are facts.

I take nothing away from Lewis' performance on the field. He was outstanding. The guy is one of the great LBs of all time.

Having said that, I dont expect announcers to, nor do I think announcers should bring up that incident he was involved in. But, it would be nice if they didnt wax poetic 24/7 about what a great person Ray Lewis is. Its just not neccessary. If they would keep it to the fact he is a great player and on the field leader, it wouldnt bother me so much. He has earned praise for those things. But, I can do without everyone talking about how Ray Lewis is this great man. I get sick of seeing cameras in front of him all the time. Almost everyone in prison talks about God all of the time too. Enough already with this myth of Ray Lewis being of great character. ESPN is the worst for it and they even gave him a job. I will not be watching ESPN's coverage when they have this guy on their show as a paid employee.

You can't be serious? First off you can't compare what you seen in a regular season game to the playoffs. It's a much different tighter, grind. Teams usually win by making the least mistakes. Secondly, you shouldn't mention Tannehill right now in the same sentence with those two. It's not fair to RT. They aren't putting up rookie numbers, they are ranked up there with the best in the NFL.

"Both Griffin and Wilson are in the top five in the league with quarterback ratings of 102.4 and 100.0 respectively"

Both of these guys are very special, future superstars of the NFL. RG3 was banged up, but he'll get healthy in the offseason. I agree the wear and tear is a bit concerning. Wilson is light-years ahead of RT in maturity and field-intelligience right now. You notice how he never turns the ball over? He never forces passes. He does whatever is required to win. The guy eats, sleeps and breathes football, he's just a winner.

The jury is still very much out on Tannehill. Although there have been a few glimpses, he hasn't proven enough yet.

People just hate on RG3 because of the media hype. Newsflash, RG3 is not paying ESPN to do this, ESPN does this themselves. Don't let the media circus cloud your judgment. RG3's talent and athleticism hasn't been seen at the quarterback position in so long. Michael Vick wishes he could be as accurate as this guy throwing the ball. I'd say he's a much faster version of Steve McNair. Which is a franchise caliber quarterback.

The problem is that he cant play like he's invincible all the time.
He will have a short career if he continuues to do so.

I guess to each his own. I'll leave you with this, which is really all that matters. Impact!:

    2011

    Washington: 5-11
    Indianapolis: 2-14
    Seattle: 7-9
    Miami: 6-10

    2012

    Washington: 10-6
    Indianapolis: 11-5
    Seattle: 11-5
    Miami: 7-9

And don't give me this BS that they all had better tools! Aside from Seattle (with Lynch) our pieces were on par with the other 2 teams. We had a very strong defense and a ridiculously soft schedule. We'll see if you still feel the same way about the quarterbacks after next season when we finish 8-8 (if we're lucky) and miss the playoffs yet again.

first off i don't float bs...and when rg3 is done in 5 years cause of all that contact in that o remember i told ya...as for telling me miamis weapons on o were on the same level as every other team minus seattles...lmao...that's crazy talk

indys got wayne and allen and hilton and fleener off the top of my head...all 4 bigger playmakers than any wr or te we have...washington a lot of that is product of the o generated production but garcon is a bigger play maker by far than anything we have...most those other guys make plays cause of the run threat and defending the read option sucking up the lbs and getting banged off pa etc...different o can't even really compare it to miamis in any way

This isn't the most fair comparison because:

    1. Washington literally had Rex Grossman and John Beck at QB last season.
    2. Indianapolis literally had Curtis ****ing Painter at QB last season.
    3. Seattle had, uhm, Tarvaris Jackson and Charlie Whitehurst?

Not one of those guys could sniff Matt Moore's jock strap.

Never mind that Miami traded away its top WR while Indy resigned its best WR while drafting a young stud, Washington spent big bucks on Pierre Garcon, etc.

Thing is with RG3, you take the running part of his game out, and you're left with pretty average QB... And that offense he's running is already taking a toll on his legs... Doesnt bode well...
