Looking at these huge deals our guys are signing for. I know when we sign guys it cancels out, but it seems like we should still get some good compensation next year. (Enough to trade away next year's fourth in a trade this year perhaps?) Anyone care to guess what we might get?
I know it all depends what happens from here on out, but at least from this point forward this is what I have.

Gains
1. Mike Wallace, 5 Years 60 Million - 12m/yr
2. Daniel Ellerbe, 5 Years 35 Million - 7m/yr
3. Phillip Wheeler, 5 Years 35 Million - 7m/yr

Actual Total as of Now: 26m/yr

4. Michael Bennett, 5 Years 25 Million - 5m/yr (Guesstimate)
5. Eric Winston, 5 Years 30 Million - 5m/yr (Guesstimate)
6. Antoine Winfield, 2 Years 12 Million - 6m/yr (Guesstimate)
7. Dustin Keller/Brandon Myers, 3 Years 6 Million - 2m/yr (Guesstimate)

Possible Total: 44m/yr

Losses:
1. Reggie Bush - 4 years 16 Million - 4m/yr
2. Anthony Fasano - 4 years 16 Million - 4m/yr
3. Sean Smith - 3 years 18 Million - 6m/yr

Actual Total as of Now: 14m/yr

4. Jake Long (Guesstimate) - 5 Years 60 Million - 12m/yr
5. Tony McDaniel (Guesstimate) - 3 Years 6 Million - 2m/yr
6. Nate Garner (Guesstimate) - 3 Years 6 Million - 2m/yr

Total: 30m/yr

So bottom line, it looks like we are not getting comp picks next year, right?

Yes. I can't see us getting anything next year.

Probably won't get anything in 2014 if your estimate of signings and losses comes true. They will have signed more free agents than they lost, which means no compensatory picks.

keep in mind the Wheeler pickup does not count as a gain as he was a Raider cut. same thing for Winston if we sign him. cut players do not count as gains.

right now we have gained only Wallace and Ellerbe and lost Smith, Bush, Fasano. that is 2 gained 1 lost so if nothing changed as of right now, we'd be set to get 1 comp pick. however, this is way too early to even ponder as more signings are still to take place. for example: Keller as a gain possibly, maybe Bennett, maybe a CB (unless it is a CB that was cut), and we may lose Jake. now if we signed Osi and Namdhi (both guys were cut) and lost Jake, we'd be in line for 2 decent comp picks. things can change that easily.

Winston wouldn't count since he was cut prior to free agency...I believe.

The raiders did not cut Wheeler he was a free agent coming off a one year contract. We wont get any com picks esp with the huge contract of Wallace which is factored in. We have signed 3 guys to substantial contracts and aall the players that will leave Miami might add up to Wallace's contract
