As the Miami Herald writes, there's "no mystery" about the Dolphins' tailback depth chart. Lamar Miller is locked in as the first-teamer, with Thomas No. 2 and rookie Mike Gillislee attempting to hold off longer-shot competitors like Jonas Gray for the third-string job. Gillislee could make a move on Thomas in training camp, but Thomas won't be making a move on Miller.

It's so early at this point. I'll be shocked if Jonas Gray isn't pushing Thomas for a roster spot by mid-August.

Miller still has to prove he can pass block when the pads come on. I don't see this as being written in stone. Miller has the most potential but if he hasn't shown he can pass block, which has been a weakness of his since his college days, then he's essentially a two down back at best.

Which would mean he's the starter...which is what has been indicated thus far by the coaching staff, players and media.
