MIAMI - An orthopedic surgeon wants a judge to toss out an US$11 million damage award and order a new trial in a lawsuit over a career-ending toe injury suffered by former Miami Dolphins receiver O.J. McDuffie.
Lawyers for Dr. John Uribe argued Monday there were fundamental errors in the May trial surrounding use of a medical manual as evidence. McDuffie's lawyers say the manual was properly used.
