Drew will be on him like white on rice. Bet on it.
We talked to Flynn and Manning for 5.5 hours...
And we all know how that ended...
I don't see Smith coming here since we won't offer him above 49ers 8-9 million a year...
unless smith knows something about manning to san fran, that others dont know.
Yep long meetings are not in are best interest
Smith is our guy. and he'll sign here to stick it to the 49ers.
per ben volin:
manning and tebow have the same agent why wasnt there a conflict of interest there?
please god not smith
hey we might finally have our 1st round qb. :chuckle:
Does our cap space even allow for a contract that Smith would even want?
I hope so! Because Gerrard will make me postal!
Saw this on twitter:
Cam Inman @CamInman Source close to Alex Smith says QB is stunned and jaded over his plight w/49ers; @MikeKlis reports Smith talking contract w/Dolphins
Cam is a 49ers beat writer...

Yea...I'd rather have Henne than him...
We could always cut Jake Long.
I kid I Kid
If Manning goes to San Francisco, we get A.Smith.
If Manning goes to Denver, we get Tebow.
If Manning goes to Tennessee, we get... umm... Lisa Marie Presley and a pair of season passes to Graceland.
What does negotiations really mean?
We should extend Jake now and work the numbers to free up more cap space now.

Dude, Tebow can't run a WCO. He doesn't make quick reads, Philbin and Ireland have to know this. Nevermind he can't throw the ball.
Tell you what, if that went down, I'd be buying a billboard of my own. lol
49ers contract to Smith that is unsigned: 3 years for 8 million a year...
Some reference point where the negotiations could start from...
trade matt moore , frees up some space and might get a decent pick.
Isn't his cap something like 2 million? If so that's way too much value, even if he's the backup to let him go IMO.
i dont see the point in chasing alex smith
the dolphins dont have the neccesary pieces around him to protect him like the 49ers did a year ago
id roll with matt moore and hope for the best
with smith or not the dolphins are basically looking at a last place finish and id rather not be tied into big money for alex smith
