Greer would be a real nice signing.

Nice, but a bit undersized at only 180 lbs. He'd get pushed around by a lot of bigger receivers.

Well, the one I would love for us to sign is Leigh Bodden who is 6'1 and is still very young, but I think Greer is a real nice CB and the Dolphins are said to be very high on Connecticut Corner Darius Butler and the kid is 5'10. Greer would be just right.

sign Chris Carr for depth and draft a CB with one of our first 4 picks and have Carr, Jones and the rookie battle for the starting job

Chris Carr would not be a bad addition. What I do like is this is the second report speculating Miami is in the market for CB. The first was Armando who said Miami had shown interest in Bodden, now the agent of Greer also says Miami is interested and they were looking at Florence before he sign with the Jills. Miami want a veteran Corner and i like that this Draft is gonna be real intereting if Miami signs a corner cause I think the number 1 spot would go to OLB, Dt, or WR.

Chris Mccalister, Shawn Springs, Cris Carr, Corey Ivy are still out there and have performed well. We will see, but they are claerly trying to lock up a corner next. Things are very quite with Bodden, I suspect he could sign.

Every player we hae signed we have not found out till there inking the dotted line or have agreed. I have scouting for news on Bodden and things are super hush hush could be next on our list.

It would be interesting to know what he is asking for since he has had several visits. The Bills got Florence, 2 yrs/6.6 mil, that is the kind of deal we should have made for him. Seems like we could have went a little above that and got him rather than the Bills.

Bigj you almost nailed it. It is not that they are being cheap with the weakest position on the team. Is that they are addressing the cheapest position on the team. FS, C and CB are some of the more in expensive position on a team. I keep saying FB could be a position they address.

WR,OLB and now DT (thankyou Haynesworth) are some of the most expensive position out there. Plus it is very hard to find true 3-4 DT in FA. That is why I predict we will besigning a Corner and are 1st will go to OLB, WR or DT. I we go OLB Clay Matthew is my pick. If they go WR I want Nicks unless Bay slips
(Highly Unlikely) and if DT is the position Ron Brace is my guy.

Hold you horses Miami wont be getting into no bidding wars. The Cardinals and Steelers are trying to outbid each other for Mcfadden.

Florence sucks! Forget about him, it's good for us that he signed with Buffalo. I was ecstatic when I saw that!

We need to sign Bodden, then draft Sean Smith in either the 1st or 2nd round and we will be GREAT!

I have said once, twice and this the third time. There is alot of talent at the Corner position left it will be interesting to see what Miami get even if it is a stop gap player similiar to what we did with Fergy last year.

Bey will slip. Ravens will pick him after us if we don't pick him, and I don't think we will. The teams ahead that are picking WR will get Crabtree, Maclin, and Harvin. Perhaps Nicks, but I don't think Nicks is better than Bey. We'll go DT, LB, or C with #25.

I would LOVE to see that happen! Our secondary would have a lot more size to deal with the bigger receivers in the league. But realistically, I don't see us signing Bodden.

if McFadden goes to pitt or arizona, then Miami would be STUPID not to sign Leigh Bodden. besides mcfadden, hes probably the best CB on the market. We NEED a CB, and i dont want to use Will Allen and a rookie who is unproven in the NFL. Now if we signed Bodden or buchanon, AND drafted a rookie in the 1st or 2nd, then thatd be better. In case our rookie turns out to be a bust, we need a veteran.

Greer is good, but like another guy said, hes undersized. How about Greer AND Bodden??

    Bodden would be REAL NICE.

    1. He has already had an offer from the Pats
    2. He is young
    3. Very good man 2 man corner
    4. Very good size @ 6ft.

I think that if the Trio thought the same way most of do, we would have already signed a corner. Maybe they know something we don't.

I see you wrote this after the Grove signing. No way we go C in round 1. 1st off, there are plenty of Centers to be had later in this draft. 2nd, 1st round money to a Center is not a smart investment as they can be signed cheaper in FA. 3rd, we just signed a starting Center. Why would we spend a 1st on one?

DT, I doubt because the value will be gone at pick 25. LB would be a good bet, there will be a lot of excellent players left at 25.

I'm betting we go CB or LB with round 1, more likely LB because the value will be there.

No way we sign Brace in the 1st , maybe with our 2b pick or even our 3rd round pick , 1st for him is a massive reach.

Trade Will Allen,Samson Satele, and Shawn Murphy to Pittsburgh and

    SIGN BODDEN

The trade itself opens up about 4mil in cap.

Then draft Darius Butler and let him start but against spread offenses use Butler as the nickel and put Jason Allen out wide. I like Joey Thomas as a dime back.

Get a 2nd round pick from the Steelers. The Steelers replace Kemoatu for dirt cheap and fill their cornerback hole for 3mil(for 1 year anyway).

Shawn Murphy could be backup material at pittsburgh who has 0 depth.

A very good deal for cap strapped Steelers.

Dolphins draft _______ with the 64 pick.

since it sounds like we're not getting Bodden or McFadden, i want Springs as a stop gap for a year-two. of course at a reasonable contract. He's very physical and can still play if healthy

Dre Bly is the only guy i would hate to sign comeback. The guy is way too old. There is report of Bodden going back to the Lions, but I sincerely doubt it since he was released. Will see .

Well we had better get a veteran CB signed real soon because outside of Will Allen all we have at CB is a bunch of unknowns

Still plenty of corners out there. Chris Mcalister, Shawn Springs, Mcfadden, Buchanon, Bodden, Greer, Carr and Ivy. The trifecta is being smart. The more days pass the lower the market gets why throw a boat load of money to a number 2 corner. You sign a veteran corner cheap and draft yourself a rookie. We know Allen is gonna start with Jones at nickle and a rookie at dime. Lets relax and see what happens.

The Trifecta is suring up the cheapest position in FA this year. We have gotten a FS, C and a Swing lineman (depth). Corners seems to be next. You leave the draft for the more attractive positions. OLB, DT and WR

Look guy the news of Green visiting should be music to our ears. It shows us this organization is trying its hardest to find a Corner. Green is not my first choice, but they are interest in adding Depth, Competation or quite possibly a Starter at the Position.

The quantity is starting to go down, but Bodden, Mcfadden, Carr, Ivy, Green, Mcalister and Springs are still out there. Salguero was the first to report our interest in Bodden. Bodden has been very quiet in FA and that is just the way Miami likes to do business. Be on the look out we could be getting our Corner soon and Bodden will come cheaper then was it out there cause he was released.

I would love for Jason Allen to step up, but even then I feel as though we need to sign a nickle type CB and then draft a young stud to replace W. Allen next year (unless of course we want to re-sign him).

PRoblem is Jason had a horrible game against Moss. It makes you wonder. I think when given the oppurtunity last year he filed in nicely as a nickle corner, but we need a player opposite to Will and Im not sure Jason can be the players. He has had three years and we have yet to see something from him other than filling in for injured players.
