Seems lots of pom pom boys have their panties caught up in the WC and our running game, the Jets, but many are losing sight of the hidden flaw in this team.

The D, and to a lesser extent special teams production.

D is giving up lots of big plays, might be due to new rookie CB and new S but we are very soft and vunerable...we are giving up too many points.

We can point to the D for our losses...not the offense necessarily.

Indy
SD
Atlanta

Fins figure it out quick or we'll be in for a 'one step forward, two steps back' type of season.

Well the D played pretty decent in ATL...

Sd was not that bad we gave up 16 to there O

The IND game was bad, we got embarassed that day...

Flags are killing us..

Jets game was pretty bad..But The one pass to Edwards the coverage was there... IT was just perfectly thrown.. The 2nd one was a bogus PI call..The one to Clowney the coverage was bad..Just got beat on the Play fake..

They got 2 fake punts that we were ready for but just didnt tackle..Clean that up we will be fine..

That Illegal contact call was awful too..

Bills O is awful so I wont mention that game..

Those are three of the best offenses in the league. There is a reason we got exposed. I expect things to start to even out somewhat. We won't face another O (after the Saints) as high powered as the one Manning runs in Indy. The Pats don't look the same and the Texans D is even worse than ours.

You know the best defense is a good offense and hopefully our O can keep up the production.

Also, if you bought Super Bowl tickets now as a season ticket holder, just think how much you could sell it for come game time.

Yes we have secondary issues that certainly not hard to understans. But the football coaches (ieJimmy Johnson, Nick Saban) we have had through here who were defensive gurus in disguise always built their defense side of the ball first and concentrated first on stopping the running game on defense before working on the pass defense. It was Jimmy Johnsons 2nd year I believe he drafted Sam Madison and his third year Patrick Sutain. Based that we got both those types of talents in our 2nd draft we are ahead of schedule. Throw in Will Allen as a nickle back (it appears that will be his role soon) and you have potential for a very very very good cb/db backfield. Yes the Safties are an issue but it is not for lack of trying to address by our staff. Bell was playing very well at the end of last year and everyone was yiping about how great the signing Wilson was and an improvement over Hill. What I think that everyone missed on the Wilson signing was that they forgot that last year this very same team minus Goodman has the very same problem in the secondary and we were playing a Safty Crockett from Atlanta that was suppose to be an upgrade over Hill and we were playing very poorly. We inserted Hill and in 2 games WH LA suddenly our pass defense is improved. According to those in the know Hill had limited skills athlectally but it is obvious that he has superior smarts and communication skills which were more important. Denver appears to have a supperior pass defense by the way which is where Hill ended up!
