Twitter laughing at the hire
Dowell Loggains has been hired as Dolphins offensive coordinator per league source. Clyde Christensen will remain with the team in a different role, per same source.
What’s the different role? Coffee maker? Already have a play caller HC so
Trash in trash out
I'd be laughing too this team continuously hires other people's trash
Gase going to bring all his useless buddies and past washed up players to Miami.
Loggains and Gase have worked well in thr past together and hes a great QB guy
And that's going to be his downfall and his ticket out of here
What I've read is they are saying BIG hire. I don't know too much about him as i don't follow the Shat bears.
Give the guy a chance!!! I’ll join you in the bashing if he or the team flops, but let’s have an off-season and a few games before we toss anyone in the trash!!!
Gase, and most coach’s honestly, sink or swim with the people they are familiar with. It’s just the way it is in coaching. How many times do we see this over and over.
Where's all the posters who said he sucks yesterday? I'm sure they have changed their minds.
Not excited about this at all.
He's a good qb guy..
Worth a shot.
CC will be the QB coach IMO
Dowell Loggains - C - Dolphins
Dolphins hired Dowell Loggains as offensive coordinator.
Loggains was despised in Chicago for running an arch-conservative offense that completely lacked creativity, but he has friends in good places in the league. One of his best friends is Dolphins coach Adam Gase, with whom Loggains previously worked in Chicago. Loggains will replace Clyde Christiansen as the Dolphins' OC. It's a step down from the Bears, for whom Loggains called plays. Gase will continue to call plays in Miami.
Who has he developed?
Don't know enough about him to form an opinion. Bringing in another offensive mind can only help......most of the time.
Lets see what happens.
This was a concern when Gase was hired, remember? How many connections does the young coach have around the league to build a good staff.?
Well, at least he doesn't come from the Bengals. The fact is that most young HC's will hire guys he's familiar with. I want to wait and see instead of hating the hire already. The people that hate him already will tell us how much he sucks as soon as we go 3 and out in our first pre-season game
Exactly, how bad are we that we could cheer for this bum? I haven't read anything good about him...post up if someone finds something to say he's even average and not despised.
I expect our running game to be better in 2018. That's about it.
I don't know if Loggains will help or hurt the Dolphins, but I do know that Bears fans are going to be saying the same thing about next year's coach unless there's a big infusion of talent on that offense, and quickly. Rookie QB had nobody to throw the ball to.
Not gonna call plays. Good with QBs. Young. Uncontroversial. Familiar. Real hard to care about this one.
It's a big fat **** you to Christensen. 'We know you really weren't at fault for the ****ty O because you don't even call plays, but we're gonna demote you and hire someone else for your mostly figurehead position.' He might even be doing the same exact job - only for less money. Oof.
Works for me
Christenson qb coach? They must be making a position for him maybe it’s a consulting gig
What's the purpose of us having a offensive coordinator if gase is calling the plays it's stupid
Because an offensive coordinator does more than just calling the plays.
Wow. This crap Dolphins franchise wastes no time makes the worse possible decisions.
Technically there's no trash out. So trash in and trash stays
Boring hire but it shouldn’t be a big deal since Gase is pretty much the OC.
I assume the ones who played while he coached there. It's just what they say about him. I'm not gonna pretend to know the ins and outs of why they say that.
Gase calls the plays. This hire couldn't matter less. No need to make this into a thing.
There’s no way gase should give up play calling. Concepts will be highly gase too I’d think. I think it’s gonna be a 3 headed thing
Just one more sous chef in the kitchen
Ehh...we'll see but I'm starting to believe that saying "what got you hired, will get you fired".
I'm like room temp on the Gase era in comparison to this time last yr. I don't see a very bright future with this organization as it stands. I think our arrow went from up, to down, to stagnant as sh*t.
Darlington just said that this was a long time coming, and that Christensen and Gase didn't have the best communication between each other.
Also stated Clyde has been offered a new position but not necessarily as an offensive assistant
I’m going to reserve my judgement on this hire until midway through next season. Don’t know anything about this guy.
I'm just trying to find out who he coached when he was a QB coach. Cutler with the Bears? Where else was he a QB coach?
If I was given Mike Glennon as my starting QB and a rookie, my offense would make "arch conservative" look like Air Coryell.
Give the guy a chance! He's mostly going to help Gase prep the offensive game plan every week. I would think Gase would know if he can be effective in that role or not.
The real game changer for us will be getting a healthy Ryan Tannehill back running the offense. That's all that matters to me.
