    triple damn.

I guess on to a veteran like OSI, Freeny or Abraham? Which of those 3 guys would you want the most?
I'd say OSI, he's only 31. But if they are really just a stopgap anyway any of the 3 would be fine

Thank goodness. I didn't want him personally, but I don't think he sucks. Would like more balance at DE and he gets worked in the run game, gets sacks in garbage time as well.

Paperwork was not filed with the league in time, Dumervil is a free agent per ESPN radio Denver and Mike Klis.

    Will probably resign though.

Woah, Broncos screwed up the new contract and didn't file it to the league by 4:00PM. The Broncos just CUT Dumervil.

For a franchise that apparently can't do anything wrong lately this is a huge mess up. Black eye for John Elway.

Imagine had Miami done this instead of Denver....media wouldn't never let anyone forget it. I'm sure they'll let Denver off the hook.

With or without Dumervil, are the Broncos going to lose against the Patriots in the AFC Championship game? I don't think so.

They can afford to lose him to us. We'll gladly take him, thanks.

It wasn't the Broncos fault, it was Dumervil and his agents.. They had a deadline that if he didn't get the contract in by a certain time the Broncos would have to pay him 12 million dollars. They were protecting themselves which is smart.

This sounds like a paperwork error - I imagine they'll say sorry Elvis and he'll just re-sign?

Contract not filed in time: Dumervil released
The Broncos did not file RE Elvis Dumervil's new contract in time, and he has been released.
Denver had until 4PM ET to submit the new deal to the league office, but they simply didn't get it in before the deadline because Dumervil didn't get his signature on the document until 4:07PM. The two sides had agreed to slash Dumervil's salary from $12 million to $8 million, so there is an agreement. We tentatively expect Dumervil to re-up with the Broncos, but he's now open to see what else is out on the market. It's doubtful Dumervil would find $8 million anywhere else, considering what Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett have signed for in recent days.

That's sloppy. I have zero interest in Dumervil and his insanely overpriced contracts as a Dolphins fan so this doesn't do much for me.

John Clayton states the Broncos must have filed the Welker deal and gone over the cap, so they had to cut Elvis.
LOL epic fail by their FO. Amateur hour in Denver.

Come on down to Miami Mr. Dumervil. Come back home and play for the hometown team. Ireland i hope is on the phone with his agent ASAP!!! Dumervil and Wake would be alike having a tag team match that meets at the QB on Sundays. IF Miami signs Dumervil, MY BONG is going to EXPLODE!!! :woohoo:

well, too bad we already signed Wheeler and Ellerbe. We also have Misi and Wake, so it wouldnt make much sense to sign Dumervil now.

i think the NFL should get rid of "guaranteed money". We humans who work in the real world dont get any guaranteed money, so why should they?

I think we move Misi to DE and draft Linebacker at 12-Jones or Mingo. Both are fabulous pass rushers like Cam.

His agent didst get the contract to the broncos on time. I think they tried to pull a fast one on the broncos to see if they would forget to cut him by 4pm eastern. If they didst cut him they would owe him 12nfl plus.
