All-division team

There were several close calls for my All-AFC East team. For example, there was a trio of good defensive tackles: Vince Wilfork of the Patriots and Paul Soliai and Randy Starks of the Dolphins. The final spot came down to Soliai and Starks, and I think Starks had a slightly better year. Jets safety LaRon Landry over Miami's Reshad Jones was another toss-up. The offensive line play in the division was inconsistent this year and made for some tough decisions.

inclusion of long invalidates it...when there is no noticeable drop off between a vet and a rookie there is a problem with his theory

the inclusion of Sean scared of contact smith makes me think this guy picks his team like ireland...dartboard

Even when he isnt at his best, Long is still a damn good left tackle.

Not a fan of Walker but this was well written:

Rookie of the Year: The Miami Dolphins were not expecting much this year when they selected rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill in April's draft. Tannehill's rookie year was expected to consist of holding a clipboard while one of Miami's veteran quarterbacks ran the team. But Tannehill exceeded expectations from the moment he arrived in Miami. He won the starting job over Matt Moore in the preseason and has won seven games as a rookie. Tannehill's stats do not stand out. He has thrown for 3,059 yards, 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. But Tannehill's impact in Miami has been felt in the win column. He should only improve in his second season.

I still think Dansby is a better football player than Brandon Spikes.

And Reshad Jones is a pure stud.

Rashad Jones should be on there instead of that scumbag Laron Landry...

The jests' roided-out safety over Rashad? Guess compensating dirty play for talent and scumbaggery count for him.

Jones should be on and Karlos Dansby is ahead of Spikes or Meyo...whoever. Dansby is head and shoulders above those two.

Where do u get that from Mayo has been a great player and one of the best linbackers in the league since he was a rookie.

"Jets fans will tell you LaRon Landry is one of the Top 5 safeties in the league. We’ll respectfully disagree because for all the big hits there are some bad angles, missed tackles, and a lot of plays made after the offense has essentially won the play.

What makes it so bad is that the AFC was loaded with excellent safety play. Eric Weddle is the most complete safety in the game, Jairus Byrd the best cover safety, and Reshad Jones a huge playmaker."
