Rather than posting the same-looking ALL CAPS FANSPEAK LIST as everyone else, I'll just post some guys I seem to tend to end up targeting in certain rounds...going off NFL Draft Scout rankings (which are the most realistic you can use).

Some guys I list more than once because their NFL Draft Scout ranking is a bit too low and I start considering them a little bit higher than where the Fanspeak engines project them going.

Round 1: TE Mark Andrews (Oklahoma), OT Mike McGlinchey (Notre Dame), OT Orlando Brown (Oklahoma), DT Vita Vea (Washington), DT Maurice Hurst (Michigan), DE Bradley Chubb (NC State), DE Harold Landry (Boston College), DE Clelin Ferrell (Clemson), CB Tarvarus McFadden (Florida State), S Ronnie Harrison (Alabama)

Round 2: QB Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma), TE Mark Andrews (Oklahoma), TE Dallas Goedert (South Dakota State), OG Will Hernandez (UTEP), OC Billy Price (Ohio State), LB Rashaan Evans (Alabama), CB Jaire Alexander (Louisville), S Ronnie Harrison (Alabama)

Round 3: QB Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma), RB Sony Michel (Georgia), RB Jaylen Samuels (NC State), RB Royce Freeman (Oregon), WR Simmie Cobbs (Indiana), WR Allen Lazard (Iowa State), WR Anthony Miller (Memphis), TE Mike Gesicki (Penn State), TE Ian Thomas (Indiana), OC Frank Ragnow (Arkansas), DE Marcus Davenport (UTSA), DE Dorance Armstrong (Kansas), LB Keishawn Bierria (Washington), LB Josey Jewell (Iowa), CB Holton Hill (Texas)

Round 4: QB Riley Ferguson, RB Sony Michel (Georgia), RB Jaylen Samuels (NC State), RB Royce Freeman (Oregon), WR Jester Weah (Pittsburgh), TE Troy Fumagalli (Wisconsin), TE C.J. Conrad (Kentucky), TE Christopher Herndon (Miami), OT Joseph Noteboom (TCU), DE Marcus Davenport (UTSA), CB Deatrick Nichols (South Florida), CB Rashard Fant (Indiana), S Damon Webb (Ohio State)

Round 5: (we don't have a pick)

Round 6: QB Riley Ferguson, RB Quinton Flowers, RB Kalen Ballage, RB Rashad Penny, TE Christopher Herndon (Miami), TE Adam Breneman (UMass), OG Kyle Bosch (West Virginia), DT Dedrin Senat (South Florida), DE Justin Lawler (SMU), LB Tegray Scales (Indiana), LB Shaun Dion-Hamilton (Alabama), S Damon Webb (Ohio State)

Round 7: QB Riley Ferguson, RB Quinton Flowers, RB Kalen Ballage, RB Rashad Penny, TE Adam Breneman (UMass), OG Kyle Bosch (West Virginia), DT Dedrin Senat (South Florida), DE Justin Lawler (SMU), LB Tegray Scales (Indiana), LB Shaun Dion-Hamilton (Alabama), S Damon Webb (Ohio State)

A lot of this is just because I need to expand the number of players I've reviewed and gotten comfortable with. Some of the notable absences are just because strategically they don't make sense for Miami, or because we won't have a shot at them.

Miami has to get an athletic, speedy linebacker somewhere. Maybe not round one, but most likely early. Who do you see as best fits? Is Malik Jefferson worthy of a top 15 pick and is he someone who can push that needle for the Dolphins defense?

I think either LB or TE in round 2. Round 1 could go so many ways, including potentially a quarterback. Miami might end up in the Minkah Fitzpatrick range as well.

Holy hell, if Josh Allen fell to us in round 4 I’d be stoked. I like the looks of this one, don’t see it happening, but this ones my fave.

I didn’t realize Miami still had 2 7th round picks, I thought they lost out on the Jacksonville pick in the retirement/non retirement debacle.

Yes they did but we got another one from trading back in last years draft, forgot who with though

I think you have a fair point about needing some to keep irons in the fire at linebacker. Especially if they're going to keep their current LB and DL usage in place going forward, they need to keep sifting until they find an elite player and a borderline elite player.

As talented as Hilton Hill is, he scares the bejesus outta me. Those 3 suspensions are not good and don’t say much about his ability to resist. Miami doesn’t need the “Cheech and Chong” show in South Beach.

I don't know how the board fell the way it did but this would be a dream. Also didn't know we had a second 4th.

1. Christian Wilkins DL
2. Billy Price OG
3. Mark Andrews TE
4. Carlton Davis CB
4, Skai Moore LB
6. Jaylen Samuels Go-Go-Gadget Do Anything
7. Raashan Evans LB
7. Michael Gallup WR

Wanted to add some size at DE but the board kept falling on players that I couldn't pass up, especially Evans and Gallup in the 7th.
