Florida QB Ingle Martin to transfer

I guess he doesn't want to sit & watch Leak play. I figured Gavin Dickey would be the one to transfer. Martin isn't that good of a QB anyway.

It's pretty sad when you consider a division II team. I'd try Florida State, they'll need a QB soon.

The thing is, if you transfer from a Division I school to another Division I school, by rule you have to sit out a year. But if you go from Division I to any other lower level (i.e. Division I-AA), you can play right away.

Didn't Fiedler play at I-AA Dartmouth? Maybe Martin can play there.

That's not true. You just have to find a Division I school that doesn't have a rule that if you transfer there you have to sit out a year. Colorado State doesn't have that rule, that's why RB Marcus Houston was able to transfer last winter & play this fall without having to sit out a year.

If Martin isn't a genious, he won't be playing at Dartmouth. Ivy League schools will only take you if you are really smart no matter how good you are at sports.

Martin could play at a D1-AA school though and play right away.
