I don't doubt he gets drafted that high, there are some really stupid GMs in the NFL. I just hope we aren't the stupid ones this time. Just look back at how high some of the other USC QBs got drafted, and where are they now?? Carson Palmer is the only one worth a crap, and Barkley is easily the worst one of the bunch.
 
Geno smith will win the Heisman and be the first qb selected and the #1 pick.

Yeah horrible OL, lol. Has nothing to do with a QB who doesn't even care if a defense is blitzing or not. He isn't changing protection, he isn't checking into a better play he is just sitting back there knowing he has better atheletes and his guys are going to be open so he is not going to worry about how quick they get there. His OL only gave up 8 sacks all of last year, so he figures he has all day back there. When he gets to the next level he is going to get killed!!!!
 
He may end up regretting his decision to stay... maybe should have paid closer attention to Matt Leinart.

Matt Leinart chose to stay for another run at a National Championship, and it hurt his stock cause that brought out more talented prospects out. But Barkley is going to a draft class where he's going to be the clear cut number 1 quarterback in the draft. There's a big gap between him and the next best quarterback.

One game does not change everything. Barkley has the intangibles to be a fine franchise quarterback you build around.

UH NO he doesn't!!!! He is a MUCH bigger project coming out than RT was. He has to be taught pocket presence, how to read defenses, and he needs at least a year to work on arm strength to make NFL throws. He is not as moble as people are saying either. He can't feel the rush and throws the ball to where he first looks because that player is usually open. He is no where near as good as Sanchez was coming out.

I will be very surprised if he is the number 1 QB taken after the combine and interviews are complete. His ceiling is VERY low.
