2005- ronnie brown, matt roth, channing crowder, and travis daniels
2006- jason allen, and derek hagan
2007- ted ginn, john beck, samson satele, lo book, paul soliai, and brandon fields
2008- jake long
okay so by reading this... we have an elite running back, a starting ilb, depth at corner back, an elite return specialist/ sophmore starting reciever, a good sophmore center, a starting Free safety, an exciting utility player, and our punter for years to come. not to mention our 3rd reciever who gets a pass because he runs great routes.
over the last 3 years miami has produced solid drafts...
of the other 2 drafts miami picked up vernon carey, and yeremiah bell! okay what about donald lee? pope? and hadnot? plus miami has added justin smiley, and michael lehan from those drafts in particulr
add fred evans, rod wright, and devin aramoshodu to the list of solid contributors.
Ronnie Brown is not an elite RB and Ted Ginn is not yet an elite return man. Ronnie has shown flashes that he can become elite but SO FAR he hasn't lived up to his draft status(alot of that has to do w/ durability issues). Ginn averaged 22 yards a KR and 9.7 a PR- those are welker-like return #s which are very far from elite.

7 starters?
I count as many as 10: Bell, Carey, Ronnie, Roth, Crowder, J.Allen, Ginn, Beck, Satele, Mauia. Could be as low as 5 I guess, but if I had to set a depth chart today, all 10 of these guys are starting. This doesn't inlcude Brandon Fields who I assume is the specialist they listed.
EDIT - make that 11, you would have to pencil in Mormino at starting guard as of today.
To be fair to the Jets' fan, he said that Ted is not YET an elite return man. I think he WILL be, but he is not yet. I love Ted Ginn, and he will be special, but "elite" is a mighty big word for him right now. I would go with solid or good right now. Now while Ronnie was having an elite year last year before he got hurt, he is not considered league wide as an elite back. And again, I will continue the trend of saying I love Ronnie, and he will be an elite back in this league, but not yet. He needs to stay healthy and produce all year.
That being said I really hate the Jets.
You don't get to count projected starters. He sucks! We have been by most measures the worst team in the league for a while now!

then why are so many people afraid of kicking to ted ginn? plus, ronnie brown was the best running back in the league last year before getting injured.. he has always enjoyed running against the jets! how many yards a game does he average against you guys anyways? it has to be close to 130
