    Happy Friday!!

So for the sake of getting through Friday, who is your favorite All Time Dolphin? Does not have to be necessarily the best Dolphin player just Favorite.

For me being a Marino era baby there is no way I can think of anyone else, but lets See.

    Vote 1 for Marino.

If you favorite Player is not listed in the poll please list them here.

Mark Higgs. I know it is not a popular choice, but I have got to give it to the little man.

Really? There is a blast from the past. I rooted for him since he was so short :), surprised though that he topped your list. Cool.

Everyone on that list is worthy, and Dan Marino gave me a lot of great memories, but Zach Thomas to me was what you would hope for in a player on your team, tough, instinctive, intense, loyal, and a lot of heart....basically what a coach is talking about when talking about a football player.

As a kid I had one of those NFL Superstars books (as to the title, I have no idea), and my favorite player to read about was Warfield. I also love the idea of a guy who was a dominate player regardless of statistics. Six time First-Team All Pro, and he only had one 1,000 yard season (obviously a different era).

Marino...watching him and the rest of the team kick the Raiders asses in December of '92 is what got me started on my road to Dolphins fanhood.

This was hard, because I loved Warfield, but had to give the edge to Zonk..haven't seen a runner like him since.. Amazing power and will. Everyone knew he was coming and couldn't do a thing to stop him.

Im a proper "new school" fan, I have been a fan for 4 miserable seasons. Marino and the other legends were so before my time, I have seen the stats, the videos but its not the same.

I would probably have to say Cam Wake as he is simply a class above anything else I have ever seen in Miami.

Ryan Tannehill deserves a mention - you laugh and roll your eyes but most of my time as a fan has been spent watching miserable teams lead by the likes of Chad Henne with no hope for the future at all. Tannehill offers hope, when you have literally never known a successful Dolphins team that means a hell of a lot.

In summary I dont really have an all time favourite because all our lengends were before my time. I think Wake will be a franchise great when all is said and done.

    Yes, obviously Dan Marino.

But I'd like to give a mention to OJ McDuffie also.

    Dan
    Csonka
    Sam Madison
    Zach Thomas
    Jason Taylor
    OJ McDuffie

    My top 6

My favorite is Dan Marino....by far. But I probably would say I admire Zach Thomas the most...he always put the team first, and redid his contract many times to help the Phins out.

Hope Zach gets into the Hall of Fame.

A lot of good choices and it's hard to pick a favorite. As a youngster I liked Larry Csonka and Jim Kiick. They were like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. A potent one two punch.

As this seems to have the making of a runaway for Dan, it's interesting to think about what makes a "favorite". Is it TALENT like Dan, or heart like Zach, or tough toughness like Czonka, or success like Griese, or numbers like JT, or does it depend on what era you grew up because youre always gonna pick your favorite player when you're twelve years old. Is it one moment like the fake spike or the Orande Gadsden catch that solidifies a players clout in your heart, or does it require looking back on a long career of dedication, and are you inclined to be partial to our draft choices?

All in all, I'm going to go with all of the above and say my answer, when I'm an old man reminiscing, is Ryan Tannehill.

Yep. Dan had the talent I'll give him that. But Zach had the leadership, loyalty and commitment. There is another question to ask yourself when considering this question, who would you want to sit and have a beer with? Zach Thomas.

Nice post bro! He was my pick as well for all that you named and the fact that the experts said he was too slow and short and he was a gamer. I have been a Dolphins fan since 1970. Next year I turn 50 and I have seen a lot of very good Dolphin players in my time.

How can you be a Dolphins fan and not a fan of Marino? That seems sacrilege.

---------- Post added at 01:26 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:24 AM ----------

You write that as if Marino didn't have leadership, loyalty, and commitment. Marino had more of each of those than Zach. Marino only played for one team his entire career.

Larry Czonka, for forearming a Cardinal CB into oblivian on an end around and being flagged for unnecessary roughness.
