LB Reggie Torbor is having a solid camp. The only time you can judge whether a backup is reliable or not is when the guy ahead of him is lost to injury and he gets put on the spot. By that measure, Torbor came up wanting last year when Channing Crowder was forced to miss the Kansas City game due to an injury and Torbor wound up without a single tackle.
Torbor, who came over from the New York Giants, where he started six games in their Super Bowl year of 2007 and the Super Bowl itself, should be coming into the prime of his career in his sixth NFL season and at 28 years of age. He’s due to make $2.75 million a year and looks like he might be ready to earn it, getting pressure up the middle on a regular basis that Thursday paid off in a sack of Chad Pennington.
