Goodell wants to widen field by 35 feet, um what the ****?

I know. Why not just take the defenses off the field all together. That way nobody gets hurt and it will be high scoring.
 
Other ideas to lessen injury risk: shorten game time to 57 minutes, players wear 5 lb. ankle weights, 4 inch minimum grass length, only 7 defensive players allowed to tackle ball carrier.

Can you imagine dudes like Percy Harvin and Tavon Austin on a field 35 yards wider? It would be like a damn cheat code to have a guy like that.
 
Goodell is publically talking about new "safety measures"?

I give it 6 days before he proposes something that screws over the players.

Reggie Bush would be the Reggie Bush of USC if the field expands like that. College football has wide hash marks and USC always made sure to get Reggie running on the widest side of the field.
 
For all of you that support the former players in their lawsuit....This is what it brings.

Our game stands a real chance of going away in any recognizable form.

ETA; Don't know why Goddell is getting bashed on this. He doesn't have any choice
but to propose any new thing he can think of to promote "safety", because of lawsuits.
