Hayes returns to Miami

Nice to have him back. What type of injury did he have this season? Josh Sitton seems like a slam dunk to sign here , a Florida kid and both Case and the new OC both coached him in Chicago. Hope he signs with Miami!

Probably at a reasonable price. He already knows the system and has been as much help stopping the run as any d-lineman we have had the last few years. We are set at DE now.

I feel our D line is fine now , let's concentrate on the other side of the line of scrimmage , the O line. I really like a Godchaux , Tayler in their 2nd year and hopefully Phillips can improve and fill in too.

William Hayes - DL - Dolphins
Dolphins re-signed DE William Hayes to a one-year contract.

Hayes only saw 271 snaps last season, but made the most of them, earning PFF's No. 5 run-stopping grade among 4-3 defensive ends. The 32-year-old underwent hamstring surgery at the end of last year but should be okay for OTAs.

Ozzy rules!!

Now this is positive news. Despite the numbers at DE, talent was lacking ... or in Wake's case - an antiquity. A DE than can set the edge is pivotal for the current defense. No problem getting behind this move.

Totally able to give credit where it's due.

Is our depth at DE all that impressive without Hayes?

Wake, Quinn, Harris, Hayes and Branch makes 5.

Quinn has injury flags, Wake is old and will play passing downs, Hayes mostly plays the run and Branch? isnt good

Branch was injured most of last season, so to say that Branch isnt good is a bit of an exaggeration!

Defensive end depth looks really good. No excuses for tired legs in the 4th quarter, pass rush has to get home in those big spots.

Anyone know how Raekwon McMcmillian is doing? Could we still draft R. Smith from Georgia to play the middle with a healthy McMillian?
