For years, the Dolphins have sought ways to incorporate fullback Rob Konrad into the offense more.

Tuesday morning, Konrad lined up at tailback for a play during the team's inside drill with fullback Doug Easlick in front of him. Konrad ripped off an approximate 8-yard gain on his lone carry.

Sammy Morris also looked good during the drill. He zipped through a small crease on his first carry for a 5-yard gain. Fred Russell has the best run of the morning. The rookie from Iowa blasted up the middle for at least a 10-yard gain and could have scored if he beat the safety in the open field.

• For the fourth consecutive day, the team's practice was affected by rain. Saturday and Sunday's afternoon sessions were both rained out, and Monday's afternoon session, which was conducted during a downpour, was moved up 75 minutes.
