If this doesn't bring back memories......

football wasnt as commercialized then as it is now. As time goes on, the less pure the sport becomes it seems. The were making comparisons today to how the NFL is slowing turning into the CFL - in terms of the rules that is

Hard for me to believe Marino never won a Super Bowl or an Academy Award for his part in Ace Ventura.

I know this really isn't about the game exactly, but I love logos and couldn't help but noticed. If you look at the logo on the field you will notice that it is the old school dolphin with the current logo's sun. But if you look at the uniforms, it's the classic logo. The logo changed from the classic one to the current one in 1997. So looks like they actually started the change before they actually unveiled the new logo. Just an interested thought.

That made me sad it hurts to watch Dan, cause it always ends with saying god i wish he got a super bowl win.

That was the game I distinctly remember because Marino got in Greg Lloyds face after that hit. Football IMO, was "better" then. I don't know what it was. I love it now, but back then it was just purer and not full of commercialism. It also helped that that era produced some of the best qb matchups of all time. It seemed that in the late 80's and early to mid 90's, there were a plethora of great qb's.

Yes the memories. Shula's last year. Gawdd I remember Marino to Mc Duffie and Fryar!!! Too bad the D, which made strides in '94, fell back to inconsistency in '95.

If it all holds true and we got a glimpse of the future, as NFL fans, we got something to look forward to with Brees, P. Manning, Brady, and well into the future with Rogers, Rivers, Flacco, Ryan, Stafford, Sanchez, and our very own Henne. But I do agree with you, all sports back then was purer

Yes, we have some good qbs in the league including the potential of Chad. This is qbs league no doubt. However, back in the 80's and 90's it was more about the sport and less about the flash. It was getting to be that way but the pureness and sanctity of the game still dominated. In fact a lot of things were more clear and pure back in the 80's and 90's.

Woah, you're right. I never noticed that! How awesome would it be if they had just left it. I like the modern logo, but the classic logo was just that; classic. I hope they bring it back for good one day
