As long as a guy can read the defense and make quick decisions. The go big or go home qbs aren't always good at that
He certainly appears to be. I never understood why he wasn't talked about a little more prior to him becoming Mr. Irrelevant.

With the 49ers offense and a supporting excellent defense, Purdy is a good fit as their QB. He isn’t a top tier QB at this time and may never be but with Shanahan as the HC and play caller and an excellent running game, Purdy is the type of QB who will make enough plays and not turn the ball over.
Right now the 49ers are the most complete team in the entire league. That certainly benefits a QB like Purdy who would probably struggle as a young QB on an average to below average team.
