    From Rotoworld:
FL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Packers are considering using the franchise tag on free agent Greg Jennings.

It's highly surprising, as most reports have had Jennings moving on, while $10.4 million would be extremely steep for a player who could conceivably be the Packers' No. 3 receiver if he sticks around. Perhaps the Pack are considering a sign-and-trade. We don't expect Jennings back in Green Bay, via either the franchise tag or a long-term deal.

No way they tag him. Rapport is turning into LaConfora Light.

Might have to wait until the draft to address the WR position.

One thing you learn after following football closesly is that you honestly can't believe any reports around this time of year. Everybody is feeding everybody misinformation . . . and my speculation is as good as the guys who report their speculation.

    Agreed.

That would be completely the opposite of how GB does business.

If we're waiting until the draft then I fully expect a new GM and possibly HC in 2014. WRs usually don't make the transition immediately and this team needed WR help last year.

Great... we're going to be giving Mike Wallace CJ money to play for us and he's not even near CJ's level.

CJ got signed to $ 100 mill not $60. Plus we need a proven WR with big play ability like Wallace that will keep the safeties honest. if you been paying attention to him.and usually Rookies don't make that transition so fast.make the move fins and this offense will be more dynamic.

Sounds like Green Bay wants one of our draft picks. The Dolphins letting it out we want Wallace so bad is our attempt to counteract that.

Right, pretty sure my previous posts have said he's the second receiver I'd want from the group of free agents and I would not give him more than Desean Jackson money. 14-15 million per year for a mediocre route runner with questionable hands and is not a Top 5 receiver is stupid. Top 5 receivers = 1500 yards 10 TD's is a given no matter the QB. Wallace didn't even reach 1000 this year.

Hell he's not even as good as Vincent Jackson but that should be the maximum his contract should be. Vince Jackson money.

Sounds more like they are trying to generate a trade market for a player they no longer hold nor or going to retain the rights to. In other words, business as usual.

This is spot on. Green Bay is deep with young talent at wr. They'll continue to develope their talent which hopefully Miami is starting to do now that we have Philbin.
