Bad idea to defer
Anyone have a link to a stream of the game?
No, I'm watching on directv
Teams look awful
Yep, no time to recover from Sunday.
These Thursday games are more like preseason

Which way did u think that review was going to go?
Well, the refs are playing a huge role in this game on both sides.
Not quite as good as the butt fumble, but lining up for a punt return and forgetting to put a returner back is pretty hilarious
Patriots are in big trouble if Amendola and Gronkowski miss extended time.
They just have nothing at receiver. Nothing.
were looking more and more like division champs after watching these games. Our defense should completely destroy these offenses.
3rd and 1 and pats couldn't get but jets did.
Could get interesting
That drop is why Gates is no longer a dolphin he can fly but his catching ability is suspect.
Its been a long time since the pats looked this pedestrian

I'm pretty confident that Brady will get better with these receivers but I am very hopeful about how bad the Patriots pass rush is. They are sending extra people and still not getting to the QB.
Patriots are in serious, serious trouble if Amendola and Gronkowski aren't back and 100% soon. Dobson is ****ing terrible.
Sad that we're not playing them early this year... had we gotten them in these first two games we'ld had had a pretty darn good shot at beating them...
It took Bill Belichick exactly one quarter to figure out Geno Smith. He is awful with any kind of pressure on him.
It would have been nice if we got play the pats when they are so feeble.
Nice barrette sanchez.
The fact that the Patriots are going to go to the playoffs is a testament to the fact that Tom Brady is without question one of the half dozen best quarterbacks who has ever played the game. That team is ****ing lousy.
I'd rather not. I would rather beat them with SOME weapons.

This Division is up for grabs!

When did they make the Playoffs?
They will get the two aforementioned receiving targets back and win enough football games to take, if not the division, a wild card. It's like when Miami went to the playoffs carried by Marino with no running game and a cruddy defense.
I like our practice squad receivers better than what the pats are fielding atm. Watch them start poaching.....
Barring a sudden infuse of talent, I have my doubts about them making the playoffs. Obviously if the Dolphins start losing key players to injury that could change but the Pats as you knew them are gone.

Hard to believe that Geno Smith is outplaying Brady.
And with that said Smith throws a pick.
Spoke too soon
They'll have Amendola and Gronkowski back, I wouldn't bury them just yet if those two can stay on the field. Losing Vereen hurts them, though...Washington is the only back who can catch, and he looks washed up.
A lot of these incomplete passes are Brady's guys simply not running the route the way they are supposed to. Dobson in particular is clueless out there.
That's what you expect from rookies, though. They aren't going to be able to do everything the way Brady expects. It isn't that they have a specific route being run wrong, it's that they aren't reading and adjusting to the coverage like Brady does.
Thompkins and Dobson will get more in sync with time, but if those two remain the #2 and #3 options for an extended period the Patriots are in real trouble.
It should also be pointed out that Hill and Gates are at least as bad with their route running and hands, yet Geno is staying calm and trying to make it work.
I can't blame Brady if he is pissed at the organization. He takes a cut in pay and watches them allow Welker to walk to the Broncos and brings in a guy that isn't great in Amendola. Granted Amendola is talented and will help him but not to the extent Welker did nor is he great simply because he can't stay on the field.
Yeah, agreed. Welker > Amendola even without the injuries, Wes just does more after the catch even if he drops a few more. Amendola will give himself up for the catch and runs tough routes, thus the injuries. He's likely to get hurt again if they keep using him the way they did in Week One.
That was a terrible decision and throw by Smith. Needs to clean that up.
I just remembered how people were crowing about Dobson because he supposedly had zero drops his senior year at Marshall.
Goes to show you can't just assume college stats tell all, and that playing for the Herd is a lot different from an NFL offense.
Yea I give Smith credit for this. Quite a contrast between Sanchez and Smith in this situation. Smith much better in maintaining composure and trying to fight through it.
Chad Bumphus right now could be the #2 WR on either of those teams.
Are we watching the same game? Smith looks awful out there. I'm watching totally inept football on both sides of the field and Smith is one of the main reasons.
Cam Wake's tweet (not so different than the rest of us)
Geno Smith doing his best Mark Sanchez impersonation.
This is how I feel about this game.
Was I only one hoping they'd all kill each other in that brawl?
Fitting ending to a horrible football display
So what does this game tell us? That the Jets were indeed lucky last week? Or that the Patriots have finally lost their luster by squeaking out another win?

We need to go ahead and win this division. Both teams look VERY beatable as does Buffalo.

yes to both
Good lord that was ugly... Geno quite literaly threw away that game
It's both, although I expect the Patriots passing offense to improve when Gronk and Amendola return.
If we end up beating the Colts, let's see if any of the power rankers including Billick have the balls to put us above the Pats. (I doubt it)
Both teams look horrible right now.
Well the Jets sure haven't gotten any better on offense, at least not yet. Didn't see their game against the Bucs, but Geno still hasn't faced a particularly good pass defense. He ran into most of his sacks tonight, and every INT was either a bad decision or a terrible throw. Hill and Gates are awful, and Holmes is still trying to get back into form. Geno had a couple stretches of good play, but he looks raw, and playing with so little help may erode one of his best qualities, his confidence.
Ivory looked good running the ball, but without a consistent passing game it doesn't matter much. Their backs are not skilled enough to carry the offense.
Some jest fans could argue that a healthy Kerley would have made the difference - but no Vereen, Gronk and/or Amendola trumps that x3.
The announcers were spot on regarding this. The Pats don't care how ugly their wins are right now. By midseason they will have all of those guys back, and hopefully a couple of the rookie receivers will figure their crap out and get on the same page as Brady. Then they will be scary once more.
It's clear that both organizations aren't what they were.
