I guess I should better define what I meant by "hot." I mean fastest-rising prospect, which he clearly is.

If Cutler does not have consistent performances in the post-season events, he won't be a first, unless a desperate team reaches for him.
If the draft were today, I still think he's a second rounder based on consistency, though I really like him (see my avatar).

A lot of these threads contain the same material...I find myself repeating myself...
 
i wonder were and if the qb from georgia shockley will get pick up by anybody
i think a 5th or 6th rounder

except he WOULD be a first rounder, assuming young and quinn don't declare. even if only young declares, cutler is still a late first rounder. kiper has his stock high, which means NFL people have his stock high

There probably would be some desperate team that reaches for him in the late first right now. I wouldn't take him there until I see what he does in the post-season.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't get picked in the top ten. Only the amount of quality junior players, could extend him past that.

How do you feel about Brodie Croyle?
 
Question:

If Cutler is considered a slight reach where/when the phins pick in the 1st, do you take him or go for a Croyle or a Pinegar -type in the 3rd/4th?

Paul Pinegar is NOT a Miami style QB. He doesn't fit the offensive scheme.

Like him a lot, have done since he came to Alabama. He's my third ranked senior QB. If he can stay healthy, I think he's a starter in the NFL at some stage.
