Lets take a look at this roster/FA needs

So lets take a look at our roster.

XXX = Someone will fill this spot via FA most likely. Order means where they will sit on depth chart.

QB - XXX, Henne, XXX
RB - XXX, Thomas, Hilliard, Sheets
FB - Polite, Clay
TE - Fasano, Clay
LT - Long
LG - XXX, Garner
C - Pouncey, Berger
RG - Incognito, Jerry
RT - Carey

WR - Marshall,
WR - Hartline, Gates
Slot - Bess


I think we go Sproles or D William in FA.
Either A) go high profile G in FA or have Garner as our pulling LG instead.
I believe Gates will beat out Hartline during the season out of more experience
at QB I really think our options lay with either V Young or Palmer. Hate it or not thats where I see it sitting.

As for Clay, I believe he plays TE 100% while Fasano blocks or he plays as a catching FB not blocking. Take that to the bank.

I personally want this in FA.

Young/Palmer at QB.
Nicks at LG.
Sproles or D Will at RB.
1 Pass rushing LB semi cheap player meaning not a big time name.

When you look at taht roster you still don't see much explosiveness or WOW factor. This FO needs to make 2 KEY Big time pick ups on offense.

I say we ride with Henne if we can't get Hasselbeck or Palmer for a reasonable price. No way for VY. He doesn't fit our team.

Dude, Thomas sure as hell better be our starting RB after we traded up into round 2 for him. There was a hell of a lot of talent available when we took him, so if he's not our starting RB - and a very, very good one at that - then it's a busted pick.
