Just got the news we lost a former finheaven member, and admin Wharfrat. He was one of the members who helped build finheaven to where it is today. You'll be missed buddy. Now go fix the servers in Heaven.

Very sad news indeed. May Jon Rest In Peace. He did so much for this site and gave me my first opportunity to be a staff member here. He was a great person. Jon will be missed.

Goodbye, Jon. See you around the other side. Love you, my brother.

If you possibly can, please contribute to the fund Jan (Helena Bucket) started to remove her only pal (now) Lacey the Dog's teeth. It's a life or death proposition; if she doesn't get the extractions, the infections will poison her. It's not fair for Jan to lose Lacey now, after losing Jon. Plea re-post and share on social media.

Any overage to the $700 goal for Lacey will go to Jon's cremation expenses.

I just wanted to let you all know...
I got Jon's ashes back two weeks ago last Friday, and I purchased two lovely handmade urns (his daughter wants some of his ashes too, and while I have some irrational thought I'll be leaving him without a hand or foot, I can't deny her request.) One urn is smaller than the other - and I may keep that one, and hope I end up with his heart and brain - the parts of Jon I loved best. If you think this is odd, the only thing I can tell you is Jon thought like this too...it's why we were truly a match made in heaven.
I'm looking for full time work, but managing all things well enough, some days better than others, and nights are difficult. I miss him terribly, every day.
Lacey had her surgery today...we came in almost right on the money between the $175 initial visit to the vet, pre-ops, and antibiotics, and the almost $600 for today...and donations totaled $755 on site, and a few others that came directly.
I am, and always have been grateful for such a wonderful bunch of folks that you all are. You have all shown us kindness, generosity, compassion, and I am grateful for your friendship - mostly to Jon, but to me as well. I was so blessed to be loved by him, and to love him back. We all were. Thank you again. Many blessings to you all.
