We all know he supports Williams' decision and refused when wanny wanted him to talk him out of it. My question is would he had the same reaction if he wanted to retire before his senior season at Texas. I doubt it.

Yeah, exactly...this is his ploy to seem like 'a very, very cool' guy to his current players. you read his statement? "must be difficult to leave something you love to do" what a prat! did he even bother to read anything Ricky said? Ricky DIDN'T love football, that's why he left!
Mack Brown is a loser, a masterful manipulator who can recruit well but can't win the big games. with the talent he's had he should have won a national championship by now

Mack Brown needs to shut his fly trap and figure out a way to beat Oklahoma. :shakeno:

I guarantee you if Ricky had gone to Oklahoma, Bob Stoops would be all over him right now like skankitude on Britney Spears. That's why Oklahoma destroys Texas every year...Mack Brown is soft and Bob Stoops is not.

Mack Brown supports Ricky's decision because he himself is no stranger to abandoning a team when they need him most. He had built the University of North Carolina Tar Heels a top-10 team with two consecutive 10+-win seasons and in 1997 he left to go to Texas before the most important bowl game for UNC in the modern era.
