They pretty much talked about how he slid to No.27, the drug rumors and so on.

Showed highlights of his greatness, and then said that the Steelers really f'ed themselves by not picking him.

Whenever you get one of the all time great QBs he is a steal. Marino would have been a steal if he was the number one pick in the draft.

so when are we going to get that wr steal ,and that rb steal ,and the te steal ? i like ronnie but alot of people in the outside world are labling him a lower 15 rb in terms of quality nfl backs . i think ronnie will put up better numbers this year but i wish we could pick a rb and qb every 3 years to add talent and depth.

    Tom Brady
He's a hell of a QB, had Pioli not gotten lucky, someother team would be kicking ***.

he might have not been given a chance on another team, probably stuck under a permanent starter and viewed as nothing more than roster space or #3 Qb... the stars aligned perfectly for Tom Brady...

just like i think they did with the Miami Heat and Dwyane Wade and Shaq maybe

i saw that show and they had at like #9 a punter that the raiders took in the first round(i forget his name) i am sorry but i don't care if its the best punter in the world ever, a punter in the first round is not a steal. i pretty much couldn't take anything else seriously after that.

LT was the RB on the list .He was a 2nd round pick who trhe scouts projected as a total failure.

The man credited with tom brady`s selection was the QB coach of the patriots. He rated him at 3rd round but they signed bledsoe for a 100 million dollar contract that year.So they kept passing him till the 7th.sadly the guy who picked him up and worked for a year with brady to get him ready never saw him play as he died of a heat attack at 2001 as brady became the starter.to develop a qb who was slow in speed and reading defences to brady is given to this coach. In brady`s book he talks alot about him and his input.Even though BB gets the credit this guy had more effect then even charlie weiss.

I think he was on the list, his name was mentioned at the beginning of the show being picked in the 5th round. Not sure where on the list he was though.

Wasn't Jerry Rice a late pick? He has to be #1 if you ask me.

LT? As in LaDainian Tomlinson? I don't know any other RB who was nicknamed LT, but Tomlinson was drafted fifth overall, not in the second round.

He was one of the honorable mentions at the beginning. Not surprising since there were a lot of big names on there. From the defensive side of the ball there were only two on the list:
Larry Wilson and Deacon Jones. However, whoever put Ray Guy on the list was on crack and should be committed. If a punter is taken in the first round, he better be godly. That's not exactly a steal.

Others that could have been named instead of Guy:
    Jake Scott :hi5: 7th round
Johnny Unitas 9th round (and released)
    Steve Largent 4th round
    Jackie Slater 3rd round
    Fran Tarkenton 3rd round
    etc.

He was drafted #16 and only fell that far because of questions about his speed and the fact that he came from a really small school. The 49ers traded up to get him.

I think you mean either Terrell Davis or Bo Jackson, the only RB's on the list. But they were drafted in the 6th and 7th rounds respectively.

brady is higher than marino? wow. well i guess it's not that much of a surprise, both great qb's, both had average teams. the question is whats more important, championships or records?

he'll probably be #1 then. just like when someone posted the 25 biggest busts from fox sports... i knew he would be #1. and really, why should nfl network's list be any different?

That's a question that will always be debated, though I think that it's silly to give the credit for winning a TEAM championship to one man. I don't mean this to take anything away from Brady. He is a helluva QB, despite recently being a whiny *****. Regarding them placing him higher than Marino on this list, I think it's a no brainer. Marino was still drafted in the first round, though he fell a few spots (THANKFULLY :D ). Brady was expected to go 3rd round at highest from what I have read, but fell a few rounds. Definetly the bigger steal.

Chambers was a steal in the 2nd round. Stole our 2nd round pick more like it.

    27. Dan Marino, QB, Miami Dolphins (1983)
Larry Johnson was a great pick at this spot, but even he doesn't come within a continent of Marino, who would likely be considered the greatest player in NFL history had he only won even one Super Bowl. Still, Marino's one of the most spectacular to ever pick up a football, and still holds nearly every major passing record in the game (Green Bay's Brett Favre is within reach of a handful). While Elway may have had the strongest arm the league has ever seen, Marino had the quickest release. While the lack of a Super Bowl will forever haunt his résumé, he should get more credit for the numerous times he put average Dolphins teams on his back and took them to the playoffs.
