The Dolphins made a bold, difficult, potentially brilliant, potentially disastrous move in benching Chad Henne and promoting Chad Pennington as their starting quarterback.
Don't ask if it was the right call because I don't know, and for the record, all the folks, including Dolphins coaches, who say they know this will work are sharing a prayer more than stating a fact.
Maybe the veteran quarterback will add the spark coach Tony Sparano so desperately needs for his uninspired offense. Or maybe Pennington won't be the kindling to any fire because so many other problems douse everything, including hope.
But whatever you think of the move, this much is certain: The Dolphins find themselves back in 2008.
