Carolina OT Adam Meadows abruptly retired yesterday, rather than have shoulder surgery. Meadows was a free agent signee from Indy in the offseason.

Actually, Meadows was one of the OL that was talked about on this board as a guy some people wanted to bring in. So, maybe we dodged at least one bullet this offseason.

Also, the Redskins lost RT Jon Jansen for the season last night. If you ask me, losing a Pro Bowl caliber RT is worse than losing a starting WR.

Not that either of these moves really affect us, just pointing out that everyone has their problems and maybe, just maybe, things will even out in the grand karmic scheme of the NFL universe. :)

Yeah injurys are going to happen there is nothing you can do about them. Our offseason has been long and strenuous as fans but I really think things are gonna pan out. I really look for us to face the lion face to face and show just what we are made of. We are no longer paper champions hopefully we will be superbowl champions.

Well said... Injuries are apart of the game and the Dolphins have experienced their share of them... We should just pray for no more major ones.. As i've stated in other post.. This will be season to remember...

Let's hope and pray that nothing BAD befalls Wade Smith. He have NOTHING to back him up with!!!

In the unfortunate event that Smith was injured, we'd probably move St. Clair to LT, Carey to RT and hope and pray for a fast recovery by Damion McIntosh. We'd also be almost certain to start Jay Fiedler at QB, too, because we'd need a QB who could run.
