He played at the U, so he has those ties to South Florida, He started out as a TEs coach at Miami before moving to OC. He has served in the NFL as TEs coach for the Cleveland Browns and SD Chargers. OC for the Cleveland Browns and the Carolina Panthers. In his first year with the Browns as OC, they went from 31st in yards and 30th in points to 8th in the league in both points and tot. yds. The next year they did fall back to 30th in the league. Was that the fault of Derek Andersen regressing and playing musical chairs with Dosey, Quinn, and Gradkowski or of his coaching? Take it for what it is worth, but he did serve as Asst. HC when he went to SD under Norv Turner. What is his offensive philosophy?:

He's number 1 on my coaches list! That would certainly be a great start to 2012.

This guy is definitely ready to be a NFL HC. He's not a Percells guy and that's the only reason he didn't get hired by Sparano. Misery loves company. Thses guys are losers and that's why they hired another loser in Dabol. We have a failed Vice President, failed GM, failed Coach equal failed team. Turn around time is here.

Would love for Chudzinski to come here. Draft a guy like Tannehill or Jones and let Chud develop him behind Moore for a season. Heck, Chudzinski will make Moore better as well.

Let's see who could be the other candidates however...I am shocked that there is no debate about selecting another coach without HC experience.

I do like how he has worked with QB's. However, as HC he will not have the same amount of time.

I think when you look at Cam Newton's development you can't but wonder how good this guy would be with another talented QB. The only thing is the pressure to pick a big name coach is going to be too much for Ross to overcome to pick an assistant from another team.

The dude got Derek Anderson to a Pro Bowl. He seems to be pretty good at coaching up QBs.

I'm in for this too. I am more and more liking the idea of someone fresh, and not wanting a retread. Besides they won't pull a JJ and walk out after 3 years, and need to be convinced to stay for a 4th year.

He is far from a clown and would be a great HC for this team.

Ron Rivera was hired as the Panthers' head coach because he was a successful DC in San Diego. So far the Panthers' defense is ranked 31st in points allowed. So why would hiring Chudzinski ensure a dramatic improvement to the Dolphins' offense, new QB or not? It seems that the success of an offense or defense is more a function of the quality of the coordinators.

Although I started a thread about Les Miles, thats what my gut is saying based on Ross and hios past behavior, Im not an advocate for Miles.

I am leaning towards an offensive minded coach, thats young, two names that jump out at me are Pete Carmicheal and Chudzinski.

I like both would be pleased with both, but I would give Chudzinski an edge since he has worked wonders with Newton & Derick Anderson.
Carmicheal while having Bress may hurt a degree having absorbed Sean Paytons offense certainly is a plus.

If Ross goes inexperienced, offensive minded I hope he picks one of these two Coaches.

Chud has never been a HC on any level. I'm not saying he would be a bad coach, but I am saying its a risky choice, and I am tired of taking risks with coaches. Lets say no to Chud and get somebody proven.

If you pair him with a good GM (not Ireland), he may do very well.

Technically he was with Jim Fassel as the OC in 2000-2001 for the Giants. So basically he cut his teeth with the Giants with Parcells its hard to determine how much say he had in the offense.

Ecstatic? Am I the only one here who lost hope when the op wrote Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers? Chargers? What makes this man make you ecstatic?
Daboll was quoted as saying he's bringing in an aggressive offense too. He's from Cleveland...

I wouldn't mind it. I believe being a good coordinator and a good HC are completely different, but Chud would have two qualities no coach of ours has had since Shula. For one, I like his personality. He's intelligent and aggressive (our previous coaches have been weak willed incompetents or ******* tyrants). Two, he's very good at what he does. He's a great coordinator (Sparano is good at nothing). I think if you have those two qualities there's potential to be successful.

I would be all for Chud, especially if we can keep Nolan.

I too am an advocate for Zimmer, if we lose Nolan that is.

If you look at past superbowl winners they seem to have one side of the ball nailed on, then bring in a co-ord to effect the other side. A Chud & Nolan combo, with a 1st round QB would be perfect!

I fully agree we need this guy to be our head coach and he will draft barkley our team would be loaded and he will get him a tight end.
