both teams stink, even though taylor turns into a top 5 qb when he plays us. but if we can sweep those teams just gotta go 6-6 against everyone else to ge to 10 wins.

The jets likely, the Bills can still run all over us

To make the playoffs, I think MIami needs to go 4-2 in the division. That likely means sweeping the Jets and Buffalo or stealing a game from New England.

That Bills running attack will be tough. Even with Jay Ajayi going for more than 200 yards twice against Buffalo, those games were close last year. Miami should sweep the Jets.

Yea, they proved that last year, problem for them though is, we seem to run all over them that much more (In two games 517 to 339)...with far better passing options.

I have no problem seeing if Shady can keep up with the Jay Train this year, while Parker, Landry, Stills and some possible small helpings of Grant keep them wondering how long they can continue to just run.

With Buffalo we need our Defensive Tackles and Ends to stuff the run first. Make them pass and one dimensional and get in a shoot out with our offensive weapons. We need to dictate our game on them

Sweeping the Jets has to happen. Buffalo always worries me (rushing at least). They did have 589 yards in that Week 16 game last year.

Just got to stop the run vs the bills. If we do that it's curtains.

Miami doesn't even have to get away from play action and the running game vs the jets. They won't score enough to make us have to play it any other way

Sammie Watkins was good for a big play or 2 every time we played the Bills so it's nice he's gone. Id say Watkins and Edelman were the 2 most troublesome AFC East WR's for Miami and both are gone.

Yeah and those pure verticals are the only throw tyrod carries a plus grade on from the pocket.

And both the vertical guys are gone in Goodwin and Watkins.

    Sweep these 2 scrub teams

Definitely....did it last year...I see no reason we shouldn't again.

A sweep means only 6-6 is required from the rest for 10-6.

    Which is my prediction.

I do. His name is Jay Cutler and he likes to throw the football to the other team.

Why do we make Bills QBs always look good? Remember Thad Lewis beating us twice?

I have never watched Tierod play except against us so I think he's excellent even though I know he's not.

Mr...... Whatever your opinion might be on Jay Cutler... He is better than Ryan Tannehill... This is not even worth debating.

Ok...so you ignore the influence Gase had on Cutler in Chicago?

No one is arguing Cutler is a gunslinger....amazing arm talent and he thinks he can do anything with that arm.

The difference?.........Gase reigns in the recklessness....let's the running game set up the passing game.

That is why it will work for Cutler in Miami.....the close-minded can' see it because they believe everything is written in granite...that a player can't mature and prosper in the right situation...even though history displays the Jim Plunkett's etc etc etc.......

One season doesn't make a trend. Sorry. Maybe it if was more than one season then I'd buy it. Sadly it's not.

The Bills don't look too bad to me. It was their first game under a new staff and they have some talent.

The Jets do look lousy. I don't think that game was quite as close as the score.

I think the Jets are an 0-16 contender, seriously. I usually say that even the crummiest looking teams (like last season's Browns and 49ers) can steal one here or there, but the Jets, wow man. Dreadful on offense and a defense that isn't even a strength anymore.

Todd Bowles is clueless, by the way. Unfortunately for us, the Jets will be out there looking to find a better coach this off-season, and they will probably find one. Hard to imagine they can do much worse.

Woody Johnson is ****ing abysmal. Can't pin all the Jet's dysfunction on Bowles. Hopefully he's fired soon and we can hire him as DC; let's also get Kacy Rogers back while we're at it.

Woody Johnson is responsible for hiring a bad coach and a bad GM, but the bad coach is still a bad coach.

Bowles showed merit on his interim position here, he has also proven to be a very good defensive coach in many places. He's not a bad coach. You're letting a single pitiful organization cloud your judgement on this one.

I thought Bowles was a good D coach and Rodgers a good D-line coach. I guess we will see w Burke. But I do think our D-line was more productive under Kacy than it was last year w/out him.

Bills fan chiming in. I think you will safely sweep the Bills. This Bills offense has no vertical threats so just key in on our running game.

Can't possibly drop more than 2 divisional games this season and expect to win 9-10 total. The non divisional games are just too tough. I agree. Absolutely have to sweep the two bottom feeding bum teams, or split with the Bills and Pats (any team that loses to the Jets should have a top 5-10 pick next April).

Yes because Matt Freakin Moore is better than Cutler. Did you forget he was the one that started game 2? Do you remember that amazing throw of his into the end zone at the end of the 1st half... that happened to go to the other team? Cutler > Moore.

I never said Moore should start. I just said Cutler likes to throw to the opposing team. More often than not.

Both teams scare me, but the Jets always seem to play us hard. If the Jets win 1 game for the season, it will be against the Dolphins. Saying that, you are right we need to sweep both teams to have a shot at the playoffs, at least it will make it a lot easier.

These are the sort of games where I think we will be very glad we added William Hayes. He can set the edge and funnel those runs inside.

Kacy Rogers has been sorely missed.

But isn't Woody Johnson our Ambassador to Ireland or something? Not trying to get political, as this is not the forum for that, but I think Woody is completely hands off from the team right now and his brother is running it or something.

Seems to me, that this would be the perfect time for him to tank the Jets and then he returns once they get a rookie QB and he has a year or so yo settle in. Then when the rebuild is on the upswing, Woody returns.

My point exactly. Owner has different priorities and left his brother in charge. Jet's organization is a dumpster fire.

Well, I think it's a combo of him doing a true once in a lifetime thing, like Rooney did, and it being the perfect time to do the Jets version of "Suck for Luck." This isn't the 1983 QB draft, but it looks like there will be several decent ones coming out. They could find the next Ken O'Brien ... or Geno Smith. :D

They just scored 3 points in a loss. With 176 yards of offense. They DO suck.
