He was seen at Dolphins Headquarters today. Must be healthy again. Would be a decent signing.
Looks like it. I thought he showed some promise and could be developed in past year or so.
Jesus is Stephone Anthony that far away from getting on the field?
Don't know if he's practice squad eligible or if he was signed to the 53 man. Then you have to wonder who we cut from the roster to make room for him.
Good. Never understood why he was cut in the first place
Me neither. I know he had the shoulder injury but hes still young.
Looks like it was an injury related cut prior don't see where it plays into anthony
2 deep weak side option
Hewitt had a shoulder injury so was released. Now that he's healthy he's back.
A bit like fixing the car stereo to address a cracked engine block but gotta maintain the D too....welcome back Hewitt.
Just announced that he was signed to the practice squad after he passed his physical today.
Glad to see Neville Hewitt back. He was cut, because he wasn’t able to get healthy enough to play in any pre season games. I’m not sure which beat writer it was, who also mentioned Miami may try to re-sign him, once he got healthy. He was practice squad eligible and was healthy once again. I’m glad to see the loyalty by the team. He knows the system and was and is a good depth player. Good luck Neville.
I like Neville in a backup role. However, Chase Allen may be passing him by. Allen has size, speed, and motor.
Always liked Hewitt as a backup. I like him significantly more than Hull. I think I'm more intrigued by Chase Allen though.
On the flip side.....Anthony sure is racking up those inactives. This team sure has a knack for bringing in guys who aren't ready to even get on the field for a while.
I'm surprised he was eligible.
It's a solid signing for weak side LB insurance
I'd be ticked if we cut Allen
Hewitt was signed to the practice squad, not the 53 man roster.
Chase Allen plays Strong side...Hewitt would be a Weak side linebacker. Allen is Timmons' backup where Hewitt would be Alonso's backup. Maualuga seems to have taken over at MLB and Hull is his backup.
Hewitt probably won't be on the practice squad long cause we really don't have a good WLB to backup Alonso.
Hey Maluaga was inactive for the first 4 weeks but looked good against the Titans. It's a long season so we'll probably see Anthony eventually. Also glad Hewitt is back.
Was surprised he was cut after all the accolades this preseason.
Obviously just injury related and I'm stoked he's back.
LB Trevor Reilly was released from the practice squad to make room for Hewitt
