The Patriots have released veteran outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy, ending his second tenure with the franchise.

Van Noy was vastly overpaid when the Dolphins signed him. The Patriots didn’t think enough of him when they let him go in free agency and they only resigned him last season because he was relatively cheap.

He is a very mediocre LB at this stage of his career but he will likely be signed as a backup for some team in the NFL.
